Chapter 1: June
"Hi," he says. "I'm Daniel."
"H," I reply. "I'm June.
Day turned to Eden and motioned for him to keep going on to Tess'. He then turned back to me and took my hand and led me to the bench nearby. We sat and talked, me getting to know the new Day, and Day-Daniel- getting to know me again. We then made our way to Tess' house for the dinner she has prepared for my birthday.
After we finished at Tess's house, Day-Daniel- offered to walk me home, saying he wanted to get to know more about my family. We took the long way to my house in Batalla sector. When we reach my door, Day kisses my hand and the before I know it, I leaned in and kissed his soft lips. The lips I had been craving for ten years. He was started at first but then kissed me back with passion. The kiss ended when we both needed air. Day looked at me with such longing but he spoke with such c=sincerity, "June, would you like to go on a date with me?"
It was all I could do not to kiss him again and answer, "Yes, Daniel, I would love to go on a date with you."
With that as my answer to his question, Day kissed my hand again and left me standing there, in my doorway, smiling like an idiot.
