"Sans?" a small voice called softly. Sans turned around and looked at the child.
"Frisk? what are you doing out here? it's awful late." Sans said.
"I noticed your door was open. you weren't in there. are you okay?" Frisk ask.
"yeah. I'm okay, I just like sitting out here at night." Sans said softly. Frisk walked over closer, slipping slightly and almost falling off the roof, but Sans caught her with his powers and floated her over to his side. "careful. don't fall kiddo." Sans said. Frisk cuddled to his side.
"so, why are you out here? it's cold." Frisk said. Sans pulled her to his side and held her, hoping to warm her up.
"I... I like to look at the stars. I grew up thinking stars were the shiney things on the roof of the underground, but these are far more beautiful. these are amazing. you are the best friend I've ever had kid, besides Papyrus, and I always try to pay my friends back when the do something for me, but.. there's no way I'll ever be able to repay you." Sans said. Frisk just smiled and cuddled to his side.
"you are my friend. you already have repaied me... before you guys, everyone called me a freak because I wouldn't fit anyone... I got beat up lots of times. you were the first person who ever considered me a friend." Frisk said. Sans looked at her.
"really?" Sans ask surprized. Frisk nodded and sighed.
"but none of them could make me change my mind and I'm glad. I'm happy I never hurt anyone, or else... I'd never have friends." Frisk said. "you're my best friend. so is Papyrus and Toriel and Undyne." Frisk added. Sans smiled brightly.
"I'm glad you fell down that hole." Sans said.
"me too." Frisk said. it was quiet a moment. "Sans?" Frisk ask. Sans looked down.
"yeah Frisk?" Sans ask.
"I love you. you're my brother." Frisk said. Sans smiled and ruffled her hair.
"I love you too. you're my sister." Sans said. it was quiet another minute.
"Sans?" Frisk ask again. Sans smiled slightly.
"yeah?" Sans ask.
"I'm glad I could help you see the real stars." Frisk said softly. Sans smiled brightly and held her tighter.
"me too kid." Sans replied.
