Disclaimer: Oh how I wish I owned Harry Potter. Unfortunately, I don't. J.K. Rowling does.

A/N: This takes place in the Marauders' first or second year, before they found out Remus was a werewolf, during an Astronomy class. Hope you enjoy!

Remus closed one of his eyes and pressed the other one against the large, brass telescope, looking up at the night sky. He heard creaking as his friends' telescopes were repositioned as well.

"Look!" Sirius' voice exclaimed from Remus' right. "It's a full moon!" Remus' eye widened and he quickly looked up at the moon. He sighed when he saw it.

"It's not completely full, Sirius." He told his friend.

"Really? Are you sure? It looks pretty full to me." Sirius replied.

"No, Sirius. It isn't bloody full yet. Don't scare me like that."

"Why? Are you scared of the full moon?" Sirius asked. Remus swore under his breath.

"No. I'm not scared of the full moon. Why would I be? It's a bloody moon." He said forcefully.

"Geez, Remmy. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you're trying to hide something." James muttered from the opposite side of him.

"Whatever, James." Remus mumbled.

"But why would he be scared of a full moon rather than a three quarter moon?" Peter asked, from James' left.

"It's called a waning or waxing gibbous moon, for your information, and I'm not scared of a bloody moon!" Remus exclaimed.

"Isn't it obvious, Pete?" Sirius asked. Remus raised an eyebrow, not bothering to look up from his telescope. "Werewolves come out on the full moon." Remus panicked.

"What werewolves? Who told you about werewolves?" He asked quickly.

"See, I'm right!" Sirius exclaimed. Remus held his breath for an agonizing second. "Remmy's scared of werewolves!" Remus let out his breath.

"I'm not afraid of werewolves." He said. "Or moons!" He added.

"Oh... That makes sense." James muttered. "It's okay, Remus. We all have fears."

"What? I'm not afraid of bloody werewolves!"

"It's okay, Remmy. Werewolves are pretty scary. Well, actually, I wouldn't know, I never met one." Sirius told him.

"Sirius. I. Am. Not. Afraid. Of. Werewolves."

"There's no need to be ashamed, Remus. It's an understandable fear." James said.

"Yeah, I'm afraid of vampires." Peter added. Remus sighed.

"You know what? I give up." He told them.

"Oh, come on Remus. You need to face your fears. When it actually does become full, you're going to look straight at it and say I'm not afraid of you, moon! Or werewolves!" Sirius exclaimed.

"Fat chance." Remus muttered.

"No! You're going to do it! We'll watch you do it." Sirius demanded.

"Okay, have fun with that." Remus said.

"We'll help you get over your fear of werewolves, Remmy! Don't you worry!"

"What am I going to do with you?"
