"Why, Revan? Why did you start the Mandalorian War?"

"I DID NOT START IT!" He screamed. "I finished it."

"You sacrificed a planet! Thousands died, our own Jedi! Why did you escalate the situation?"

"Escalate the situation?" Revan sighed. "I allowed her to destroy it for one reason. Because sometimes you need a Warrior. Because sometimes half-measures just don't work. Because the Galaxy needed an ultimatum. The Galaxy needed a point of no return at which neither side could continue! I do not regret it one bit, because it saved them. All of them. Billions saved because of my decision. I pulled the Galaxy out of War and into Peace. I did it because no one else would. Because my so called 'Masters' decided that the Republic was not worth saving. Well it was. It was."

"We could've found another way! A better way! A less costly way."

Revan laughed, not a hearty laugh, but a laugh that recognised the way people lie to themselves. A bitter laugh.

"Could we? We didn't have the time to. I did what was necessary for the survival of the Republic. If 5 must die to ensure the survival of 500, then so be it. I could not sit idly by and wait for a 'better way' that would never come. Lies and empty promises don't save people. Action does. And that's why I left to defeat the Mandalorians. Because the Council sat around and said "Wait". If I had waited, then millions more would be dead. Perhaps our precious Republic would've fallen."

"You can't know that! You can't create falsehoods to justify your actions!"

"I do not intend to justify my actions to children who have no grasp of reality, who still believe in the good of the Universe. If such immaturity was allowed to govern, the Republic would fall in a heartbeat. That is no falsehood, I can guarantee. Those who still believe in the good of mankind are those who allow unnecessary risks into an already unstable equation. I remove such risks because they must be removed, to allow the Republic to continue. Perhaps you will judge me for my actions, and perhaps you are right. But I saved this Republic, and I do not regret that.
