Enough

Naruto loved Sasuke more then anything in the world, he loved him more then ramen, more then learning a new jutsu and more then life itself. Because of this fact all he ever wanted to do was show Sasuke just how much he loved him.

Naruto left notes around their shared apartment if he was gone before Sasuke woke up, so when Sasuke got up and went to the kitchen he'd know that Naruto was thinking of him.

Naruto also went out of his way to see Sasuke, when Sasuke was on a long term mission Naruto would somehow find out where and come up with a reason to be there to. He was willing to run for hours if it meant he saw Sasuke for a minute.

For valentine's day they did nothing as Sasuke had other matters to take care of, so Naruto left his present in the old Uchiha compound for him to find, a red rose with a note simply saying 'I Love You', nothing more then that because that was enough.

Despite everything Naruto did to show his love, he couldn't help but feel that Sasuke didn't feel the same way. He knew that Sasuke was social retarded, introverted and emotionally scarred so he tried not to care, to tell himself that it was just Sasuke's way, that he just didn't know how to express himself.

But the feelings kept coming and Naruto couldn't help but feel insecure, he'd grown up without love, without anyone to hold him and so he didn't want to lose this, he couldn't handle losing it.

Naruto just kept trying to show Sasuke what he meant to him in hopes that Sasuke would reciprocate, that he'd surprise Naruto and do something out of character, do something romantic, something special.

Naruto came home one normal day to his normal home, he unlocked the front door and stepped inside, nothing had changed and a small part of him hurt for no reason. It was the same as it always was, the same sort of day, the same job, and the same empty house. He didn't know where Sasuke was, and then again he never did.

He walked into the kitchen and something had changed, sitting on the table was a cup of instant ramen, still with the wrapping on and a note next to saying 'I Love You'. It wasn't romantic to anyone else; it wasn't special to anyone else. But to Naruto it was perfect because it showed that Sasuke did care, that he truly loved him.

For Naruto that was enough.
