"I'll treat you, little lady."
Hajime looked up as she was finishing up her new collage. "Eh?" She noticed Jou's work and she stared at it eagerly.
"Jou-san, you're great at this!" She got a 'hm' as a reply and he placed it between them so that she can see it clearly.
"What's that beside the rabbit?" She pointed at a red animal that was sitting with the white rabbit.
"That's an oni."
"Heh, they look cute together. A rabbit and an oni, great differences," she spread her arms out wide, "but together in peace." She suddenly hit her hands. "Great job, Jou-san!" She said, staring down at his work as her eager eyes started to shine once more.
He smiled. He can't tell her yet whom the rabbit and the oni represents, though to those who know them, it might be obvious.
I'll treat her later if she realizes it, he thought, staring at Hajime's work. A chibified oni with lots of red maste seeming to sprout from its mouth. It must be fire.
"Why did the little lady made an oni?"
"You remind me of one, Jou-san. You're like a red oni, with fire as your weapon - Ah, that's right! Your uniform is - "
"Not too loud, little lady." His lips curved up a little. "Well, it's nice of you to think of the old man."
Hajime grinned widely. This may be a good chance for him to tease her a bit.
"Well, who do you think the rabbit represents?"
"Eh? Hmm...a rabbit...Utsuutsu-chan is a rabbit in some ways, but, it doesn't fit quite well...D-san is more of a peacock though...hmm," she closed her eyes tightly as if concentrating so hard.
"Pai-san is a panda, ah, no, no, no...Senpai is..." She stopped. Hajime suddenly turned to the man sitting beside her, startling him. "Senpai can't be a rabbit! He's more like...more like...the straightest dog! Jou-san, who is this rabbit you're talking about?"
"Think harder, little lady." He covered his mouth as he stares with amusement at the little lady who was now puffing her cheeks in irritation. He got startled at his trance when she suddenly shouted:
"Ah! It's JJ isn't it?!"
He stared at her before regaining his composure. "Ah...no."
Now Hajime's the one staring at him with her mouth open. She quickly closed it before puffing her cheeks again, and opening her mouth again to say: "Ehhh...this mysterious rabbit is hard. But, I'll definitely know who this rabbit is!"
"Yes, yes." Her determination is too fun to watch.
"Jou-san, do I know this rabbit?"
"Yes, yes."
"Is it cute?"
He looked at her before casually looking away. "Yes."
"Is it fun to be with?"
He smiled lightly. "Yes."
"Is it one of us?"
"Yes."
"Is it...who is it...ehhhh?! Is it me? Am I the rabbit? Jou-san, am I the rabbit?!" Out of excitement, she leaned closer to him, who casually leaned back.
"The little lady is right." He smirked at her. Hajime went back to her position, allowing him to return to his as well.
She turned to him with shining eyes and said excitedly, "Ehhh..and to think we made collages of each other! You," she pointed at him, "a red oni, and me," she pointed to herself, and Jou nodded, "a white rabbit!"
She faced him again and she grinned widely. "That's such a coincidence, Jou-san!"
He thought 'Not really a coincidence, though' and smiled lightly at the excited little lady who was now urging him to join her in making a new collage.
