She was falling. Tragically. She was falling in love.

She could not sleep, could not eat. It was his fault. The guy with the messy jet black hair. The hazel eyes. The goddamn body to die for. James Potter.

She tossed and turned in her bed, and gave it up. She heard the pitter patter of the rain. Rain. That could drown the feelings. Stop her from falling, couldn't it? She got up out of her bed, shivering slightly at the change of temperature. Opening the door, she headed out in to the common room of the head domitories.

She needed to escape, get to the rain. Drown the feelings.

She didn't hear the creaking of floorboards behind her.

He was falling. Tragically. He was falling in love.

He could not sleep, could not eat. It was her fault. The girl with the blazing red hair. The green eyes. The goddamn figure to die for. Lily Evans.

He tossed and turned in bed, but paused when he heard the creaking of a door open. It was her. He got out of bed, shivering slightly at the change of tempertature. The faint sound of rain could be heard. Silently, he followed her out of the head's quarters and into the hallway. What was she doing? The girl that haunted his dreams? She tiptoed down the stairways; he was just behind her. He got his answer when they reached the large oak doors.

Out.

Into the rain.

She opened the large oak doors, and flung herself into the rain. It poured down on her. Drenched her. But it didn't drench the feelings. Didn't drench the feelings she got when she saw his face. The urge to run her hands through his hair. The urge to kiss him, to be held by him.

Maybe the feelings weren't ment to be drowned.

She twirled, making herself dizzy. She pictured his face, pictured him twirling her around in his arms. She danced, a wild euphoria taking her over. She was no longer falling. She had fallen.

Fallen in love.

She was dancing in the rain. Her clothes clung to her petite body. She was spinning, making him dizzy. He stepped out, and the rain thudded onto him. Soaked him. He walked slowly out to her. He reached her, then he stopped. She stopped, gasping when he saw him. He took her hands, acting on impulse. Her eyes were wide. One hand reached up to stroke her wet cheek. She lent into his hand, shivering at his touch.

He stroked her face, then stepped closer, closer. She did too. They were inches apart. Centimeters. Millemeters. They paused, his arm snaking around her waist, drawing her sodden body to his. She shivered at the touch of his muscly torso through her thin clothes. Her arm reached up around his head. She felt him shudder as her hands dragged through his wet hair. Maybe he was shuddering because he could feel her body against his. Their noses touched. Then, slowly, so did their lips.

They kissed, wildly, wantingly. The rain pounded, clapping in a sense. Too soon she pulled away. So he laughed, scooping her up and spinning her around in his arms. She laughed too, then stopped when they fell to the ground. They had fallen.

Fallen in love.
