Yusuke strode into the kitchen, intent on satisfying his sweet tooth. He spotted Kurama at the table, eyes fixed on a book as he nibbled on some cheese that was cut into small squares. Yusuke couldn't help but smile, that fox always had his nose stuck into a book in his free time. He had another piece of cheese half way to his mouth before noticing the younger man looking through the cupboards.
"Looking for something in particular?" he questioned.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, just for something sweet," Yusuke replied.
"Having any luck?" Kurama asked as he continued to watch Yusuke look through the kitchen.
"Not in particular…" Yusuke sighed as he closed the cupboard door. He walked over to the table and sat down, deciding instead to study the cover of Kurama's latest book. Kurama pushed the plate of cheese and grapes over closer to Yusuke.
"It will do you better than chocolate," Kurama urged. He chuckled as Yusuke looked away, obviously still put-out. "Some of the most unexpected things can have a sweet taste."
"Nice to know." A sly smirk spread across Kurama's lips before he slid a piece of cheese into his mouth and walked over to Yusuke. He tilted up the younger mans head before pressing his lips to his in a heated kiss. Yusuke could only blink as Kurama pulled away with a smirk and returned to his seat, reading his book again. Yusuke chewed the cheese in silence, his mind wandering off.
'He's right, the most unexpected things do have a sweet taste,' he thought. If you thought he meant the cheese, I'd guess again.
