This entire piece is only dialogue. I got the idea from the book Holmes and Watson: End Peace by David Ruffle.
NOT intended as Malvie.
"Mal? You still awake?"
"Of course I am, Evie. This bed is way too soft."
"I think it's wonderful."
"E?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you miss the Isle?"
"I don't know. It was our home, but this is so much better. We don't have to worry about our parents or trying to be evil."
"It all happened so fast."
"I know."
"It's so different here. I want to go back home."
"But Mal, this place gives us the opportunity to grow and become so much more than our parents."
"We need to do it. We can't disappoint our parents. My mother would kill me..."
"Mal, please don't cry. We can do this."
"They're setting us up for failure."
"What if we don't go back? We can just not steal the wand..."
"But our parents!"
"Our parents who beat us and starve us and belittle us. Do you want us to go back? Do you want Carlos to go back?!"
"Carlos can stay here then."
"No, Mal, that's not the point! If we get the wand and free our parents, they will come here. And what will they do to us?"
"Well they said they would reward -"
"No! They'll treat us exactly the same. And what about Jay?"
"What about him?"
"You remember what his back looks like. ...No, Mal, look at me. We can't let them escape."
"But we have to..."
"M, I'm sorry. But I don't want to go back there. And I don't think Jay and Carlos do either."
"I know Carlos won't."
"Exactly."
"But we have to..."
"Go to sleep. We'll talk about it more tomorrow."
"Ok. Goodnight, E."
"Goodnight, M."
Well, how was it? Please leave a review and let me know your thoughts.
I may write a prequel for on the Isle.
