DISCLAIMER: I do not own star trek. I am just a huge Beverly Crusher
fan. Hence why I write about her.
Chapter 1
Dr. Beverly Crusher awoke after a well deserved rest. She had been awake and working until roughly three that morning. Beverly didn't really want to work today, but she figured she might as well.
Stretching out, she saw her hands and they were what stopped her in dead shock. She hadn't seen her hands like this years. They were almost the hands of a thirteen year old! She stumbled quickly out of bed and ran to her bathroom. Standing on her toes, she saw her new reflection. Well, in all actuality it was old. Beverly remembered what her life was like at thirteen and let out the shrillest scream she could muster.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard was putting his uniform jacket on when he heard a piercing scream coming from Beverly's quarters. Not stopping to finish getting dressed, he raced over, shouting his command code that would allow him to enter any room on the ship. Picard stopped after entering the room. He looked very carefully for any signs of danger and then he spotted something shaking out of the corner of his eye.
It was a child to his surprise. Not a young one by any means, but still, a child. He walked closer to investigate. She, he assumed, had long red curls that fell past her shoulders and to the floor. Those curls looked very similar to Beverly's hair when they had first met, he noted. As he stepped closer, she raised her head and displayed sapphire blue eyes and a face full of freckles. As a bit of a shock for him, there were tears running down her cheeks. He decided right there and then to get Counselor Troi to talk with the girl. She was always better with children than he was.
Picard tapped his comm badge. "Picard to Troi."
"Troi here." Deanna answered very groggily. She was still curled next to her living pillow, William Riker.
"Counselor, I have something err, someone here I think you should see and talk to."
"Very well sir. I shall be there shortly." Deanna got out of bed which awoke Will momentarily. He yawned, stretched, and went back to sleep. Which all made Deanna chuckle to herself as she walked out the door. She assumed that the Captain would be somewhere else on the ship. Not standing outside the Doctor's quarters though. She strode over to Picard. "Sir, you said there was someone you wanted me to see and talk to."
Picard turned around. "Yes Counselor. There is someone in there. I want you to find out what you can about her and also find out why Beverly isn't in there."
"Yes sir. I shall find out what I can." Deanna said as she walked into the quarters. About 10 minutes passed, Deanna came back out looking slightly shaken.
"What is it Counselor?" Picard was a little nervous himself after seeing Deanna like this.
"Sir," Deanna gulped down. "That is Beverly."
