Author Note ( A/N ) ~ I know I said I wouldn't start a new story till I finished my last one. But this story has been boggling about my head for several weeks now. It's been my muse and inspiration in getting chapters pumping out again. This is way different than what I'm used to writing but it's a cute little short story that I need to get on paper. I plan on making this maybe 7 chapters long. Enjoy everyone 3
Summary:
Bella knows men, and she should considering she strips, pole and lap dances for them. What she didn't expect was a guy like Edward. A man straight out of a storybook fairy tale, Mr. Prince Charming. But low and behold, she never knew he'd find out her little secret. She especially didn't expect him catching her when she is about to give his friend a strip tease.
Prologue
The few acting classes I took in college as filler credits, never prepared me for this moment. I'd like to think that the science class I took, that was about the male autonomy prepared me more than those acting classes. I was a clumsy and awkward girl from the small town of forks. I had dreams and goals. Moving to Chicago to pursue a writing career at Columbia College with a substantial scholarship to cover its whopping tuition. But I never expected this. I didn't know how to walk on stage, let alone own it.
"Now Bella" I focus my attention on Heidi "The key is to not focus on just one man but to run your eyes across the room. Give the room your attention."
"Right" Irina interjects "If they like you, they'll move closer. So you've already captivated them. Don't spoil your main audience."
The girls had already picked out an outfit for me. I covered it with my ratty old robe my mother had given me my senior year of high school.
"Bella you're going to have to do this sooner rather than later." Tanya soothes, rubbing my back gently like my mother used to do when I was little.
"I know but I'm scared." I wrap the robe tighter around me as if it'll shield me away from the truth of the situation.
"It's safer than walking down the street on the wrong side of town." Heidi adds , trying to sooth me as well.
I smile.
"And you're protected." Kate pipes up. "We're way better off than hookers on the street."
Switching from a waitress at a strip club to an actual stripper was a moment I knew I never wanted for my life. I wanted to be a writer. How life really curves those curve balls at you.
"Its either this or you lose your parents house." Tanya says trying to focus my attention on why I really need to do this in the first place.
At her honesty that I am always so thankful for, I sigh "Alright. I'm ready." I strip off the robe
"Don't worry, you'll do fine." says Kate, giving me a quick hug.
"Your a hot commodity for any man to feast his eyes on." says Irina, squeezing my shoulder firmly.
"Your first show is always your hardest but do as we practiced and it'll be over with before you know it." says Heidi, ushering me onto the stage.
I smile. My parents would be ashamed but I can't lose them. I need the money.
"Break a leg" Tanya smiles reassuringly.
I take my steps onto the stage, the heels higher than the empire state building and an outfit more see through than glass. The curtains open. Show time.
A/N ~ Again, no update guarantee. But this isn't the last you've seen of this Bella and you haven't even met this Edward, yet ;)
