Ariel stepped out of the carriage carefully, holding Eric's hand. Naveen and Tiana had recently had their first anniversary, and today they were hosting a celebration at Tiana's restaurant. The royal couple had left for New Orleans early this morning, since it was a long ride. But Ariel had fallen asleep in Eric's arms, so the journey didn't seem as long as it was.
Tiana's restaurant was magnificent. It was beautiful and large, and seemed more like a palace than a restaurant. As Ariel and Eric went to go in, Ariel noticed that there were lots and lots of people pouring in to the bustling party. It seemed like all of New Orleans had been invited. Since they were all regular people, not royalty, Ariel was glad that she and Eric hadn't decided to wear their most formal attire.
Stepping into the noisy dining room, Ariel's face lit up as she looked around. There were beautiful decorations everywhere; the theme seemed to be a light green. Also, pictures from Tiana and Naveen's first year together were hanging up on the walls. They made an adorable couple. She also heard some very catchy music, and looking over to the stage, she saw that a band was playing. Wait.. Is that an alligator playing in the band? She shook her head, deciding she would have to ask about it later.
The redhead held onto Eric as she led him through the crowds of people, looking for the guests of honor. When she spotted Naveen, she hurried over to him and embraced him. "Wow, Naveen!" she exclaimed. "Everything looks incredible! Congratulations!" She smiled as Eric and Naveen shook hands.
"You like it?" Naveen asked, looking up at everything himself. "Well, Tiana and I did all of the work, so I'm glad it turned out great! Thank you, Ariel." He winked before turning to a waiter and taking 3 glasses off his tray: one with water, two with champagne. He handed the water glass to Ariel and a champagne one to Eric.
"To you and Tiana," Ariel toasted, clanking glasses with her husband and friend just as the band started playing a new song, causing Ariel to pull Eric onto the dance floor.
