On her way home from another kingdom, Ariel passed by a town called "Spoonerville." Funny name. She glanced out the carriage window as they passed, noticing the town looked much more contemporary than Ariel and Eric's kingdom. She had heard of certain towns being like that: very focused on technology and something called "electronics."
As the town was about to pass from sight, Ariel suddenly saw a young girl with hair almost as bright as Ariel's, running towards the carriage. "Stop for a minute, please," Ariel said calmly to the chauffeur. The carriage halted to a stop, and the girl approached the window.
"Have you seen my boyfriend Max well maybe not my boyfriend we could just be friends I'm not sure but he has long black ears and he's really cute okay don't tell him I said that but he went out of town and he was supposed to be back 5 minutes ago but he isn't here and I don't know if something happened to him or maybe he's not coming back.." the poor girl babbled on and on.
"Hey, hey, hey," Ariel said quickly, yet calmly. She waited until the girl stopped talking before continuing, "I haven't seen anyone. I'm just passing through at the moment. But if I see anyone on my way out, I'll let them know you're looking for them. What's your name?" The princess gave a soft smile.
"Roxanne," the other redhead breathed, clearly out of breath now from all the talking and running.
"Okay, Roxanne, well don't worry. I'm sure Max will be back. Maybe there was some traffic on the way back. It'll be alright, okay?" the former mermaid reached out and gently squeezed Roxanne's shoulder. Roxanne nodded, thanked Ariel, and ran off again. Wow that girl can talk.
