Tin Man Ambrose(Glitch)/Hermione
"I wish just for once, that you would Glitch." Hermione told her long time boyfriend during a small quiet dinner amongst friends. D.G., Az, Cain and Raw sat amongst them, watching as Hermione finally stated her thought. She had been staring at her boyfriend for a while now, it was making him feel uncomfortable when he finally asked her what was wrong.
"What a terrible thing to say!" He looked at her with a weird expression on his face.
"What is so terrible about it?" Hermione asked, setting down her fork and knife.
"Well, that was when I didn't have my brain, a time where it was dark and not something I want to remember." He replied.
"But I think it's cute when Glitch." She stated, causing D.G and Cain to choke on either their food or drink. "What? it is." She looked at them.
"Hermione, we're not going to discuss this now." Ambrose stated, and went back to his meal.
Hermione sighed and turned back to her own food, looking at Az when she squeezed her hand. She smiled at her cousin and continued eating.
It was later that night and Hermione and Ambrose were in his lab. Hermione sat curled up in a chair, reading his latest note about the day before. She would look up every once in awhile to see him tinkering with a new invention. Gathering up her courage, she walked over to stand behind him, she watched as he entered a new piece of information into his log.
"Do my notes not satisfy you?" He asked, causing her to jump. He looked over his shoulder. "Are they not up to par?"
"No, they're fine. I just wanted to see what you were doing." She replied, stepping to his side.
"I'm doing what I'm always doing at this time of day Hermione. I'm inventing." He stated, turning back to his work.
"Inventing what?" She asked.
He sighed and sat down his tools to stand up. He grabbed a cloth from the table near him and began to clean off his hands. He sat down in the chair she previously occupied. "What is bothering you?" He asked.
"What do you mean?" She asked, walking towards him. She sat on the arm rest of the oversized chair that he was sitting in. He had the chair brought in a few days after he arrived in the O.Z. when he realized that she like being in his lab. She was never in his way and she always gave advice when his inventions went wrong.
"What's stirring in your pot?" He asked, grabbing her hand and squeezing it.
"Glitching." She let out a sigh, feeling him tense up. "I don't see why you have a problem with it."
"And I don't see why would care for such a thing." He took away his hand, leaving her's to lay idle on her lap.
She groaned and stood up. "And that's the problem. I do care for it."
He stood up and walked past her. "Well that isn't who I am anymore and I would appreciate it if you would let it go."
"But it is who I fell in love with." She stated, she clenched her fists at her sides, trying to keep from showing that she was shaking.
He spun in his heel to look at her, shocked. "Fell in love?"
"I liked how you forget and you introduce yourself again. How you would always grab my hand before you realize we were in public. I liked how when you finished hugging me, that you would give me another one. I like how sometimes you would also forget that you had just kissed me, and kiss me again." She stepped forward and grabbed his hands. "Ambrose, I just for once wish that you would Glitch and forget about everyone giving out their opinion of you and you would just tell me that you love me."
"You love me?"
"I love you and I love when you Glitch." She whispered, looking up into his eyes.
His eyes widened, and he smiled down at her."I love you." He leaned down to kiss her on the lips. Pulling apart a few minutes later, he blinked and she could see the gear turning in his head. "Did I say that I love you yet?"
"I love it when you Glitch." She smiled, reaching up to kiss him.
