Chapter 1

One day I'm going to be rich and famous…
But for now, I'm stuck on a seemingly endless journey with a bunch of morons. I'm not joking, being stuck with a narcoleptic princess and her daredevil savior isn't something to be happy about. Added with the risk of having to be within a ten-meter radius of a sadistic brute and a suicidal compulsive liar, I don't think I'm going to finish this journey alive.
Of course, life would be much simpler if that's that, but no, life just loves to throw in more complications, doesn't it?
The suicidal compulsive liar, he's… How should I say it… He's an exact mirror of me—like a twin. But rest assured, he's not, because we don't even come from the same dimension! He's also agreed with me that we're by no means related, so that's the end of that. I hope.
How did I get involved in this perilous quest you ask? Well… That's a very long story, but that's what I'm here for, isn't it? It was a normal Monday, just like any other Monday in my mundane life. The day started out as dull as possible, and suddenly BAM! Next thing I know I was traveling with said bunch of morons.
Further details will be explained as we move along with the story, be patient.
But let's start with the most basic information that you all must be aware of to continue with the story. My name is Felicia Levitt, but my friends call me Feli—if I had any. Almost reaching 20, but still stuck in high school. I don't have any special talents or magic that I'm aware of—just a normal human being with destructive tendencies.

Felicia Levitt
"Felicia Levitt, to the principal's office now."
The announcement speakers dies down and Feli sighs, slumping in her seat. This has been like, what, the third time this week?
"Miss Levitt, you are excused," the teacher at the front of the class calls. "You may go now."
Another sigh escapes the girl's lips as she slowly gets up from her seat. She could feel the stares from the other students as she walks to the front of the class. It isn't very hard to imagine the whispers behind her back. They all hated her, labeled her as someone that should be avoided. Feli tries so hard not to let it get into her head—to ignore them all.
But it still hurt to be the school's public enemy number one.
The walk to the principal's office was short and uneventful, with only her own thoughts as company. This time it's probably because of the fight she had with her upperclassmen yesterday. It wasn't her fault that they were in range of her fists.
She knocked on the door once. Twice.
"Come in."
The principal was a balding middle-aged man with a protruding belly, hardly a role model to the student body. He was seated behind his overly large desk, hands wrapped together like a villain in the movies. Feli hates the man.
"And how many times has this been this week, Felicia?" He gestures for her to take a seat. "Aren't you tired of getting in trouble?"
Feli frowns, plopping down on the seat. "They started it first."
The principal sighs, deflating into his seat. "You knew better than to fight back physically."
"It doesn't matter, I always get blamed." It's true, no matter how much she explained, in the end she had to be the one who was responsible enough to walk away from the fight. It's not fair that everyone assumes the worst of her, that it's always her fault.
"If you know that much then you should avoid trouble, shouldn't you?" The principal leans forward on his seat, looking down at Feli. "I can't keep on covering up for you like this, Felicia."
"I never asked for—"
"If I hadn't then where would you be?" He cut off her protest. "I understand that you have some post-trauma issues after that accident, but it's been two years and we all need to move on."
Feli seethes in anger, hands curling into fists at her side. How dare he! "I never used the accident as an excuse!"
"Well, you surely were acting like it!" His voice raises, no longer elderly. "Why do you think you're still a student here? That's because I let you be here! Because I pity you!"
That is the last straw. Feli's lips curves into a smile as she stands up from her seat. "I don't need your pity, so from now on, you can go and fuck yourself." She left the room before he could say anything else.
This is how her days usually go by, although she hadn't ever outright told the principal to go fuck himself, so that's something new. But the rest was old news. Everyone hates her, hates that the principal pities her enough to let her stay even though she's failed eleventh grade twice, hates that she's still here even though she's caused so much trouble, hates her very existence. They all made their distaste for her plain as day, whispering behind her back, sending dirty looks, sometimes even going as far as picking fights with her.
It's been like this for as long as she could remember, and she couldn't remember much. The only memory she has was only after the accident—two years ago. She doesn't remember anything else from before; her childhood, her family, her friends, who she was and what she was like. The doctors said that she suffers amnesia from a hard collision to the head. She lost everything in that accident; her parents, who she was, everything.
But on the other hand, she supposes it was a blessing. She didn't have to grieve or fall into depression because she didn't remember the people she lost. Her parents left her a house and enough savings to last until she graduated. Moving on with her life wasn't as hard as people make it out to be.

Before Feli knows it, she is already halfway home, taking long strides to cross a railway. She doesn't really want to go back to class and face everyone—surely by now the principal has sent out a "search-party" for her. There's no point in returning, she'll probably get expelled for real this time. At this point, she's beyond caring.
The neighbor's dog barked loudly as she passed by their house and into her own, fishing out the keys from her skirt pocket. She growled back at the dog, throwing at pebble at it. "Go away!"
Her house was barren of any photos or decorations, nothing for her to remember her past life. She had them all kept safely in the attic. Not that she had something against her past life, it's just that she doesn't like seeing photographs and items belonging to people that she doesn't know. It gives her the feeling that she's all alone in this world.
Not even bothering to change out of her uniform, the girl plopped herself on a couch and curled into a ball. The whole world is against her and she's all alone and she can't fight back.
"I wish everything would disappear."
Suddenly, long black tendrils emerged from the couch and wrapped themselves around Feli. They pulled her deeper and deeper into the couch, strong enough to withstand the girl's trashing. She tried to scream, to break free, to do anything, but she was powerless against the tendrils, sinking deep into a pitch black abyss.
