"Please don't leave" she whispered tears filling her eyes.
"I have to" I replied not looking at her, I knew there was tears flooding her cheeks.
"Eddie please" She begged me. "I have to help strigoi's are invading, I'm doing this to keep you safe" I told her and opened the door.
"Please" her voice barely able to be heard. I put my guard up and left. I didn't want to leave Alex behind. I still had the picture of her sad violet eyes begging me not to go. I shook my head trying to get the image out.
He left gently shutting the door behind him.
"Please" I whispered knowing nobody was listening. I pulled my knees up to my chest sitting on my bed. I cried, and hoped he would be safe. I know it's his job, but it doesn't make it any easier on me. All I could do is watch everyone fight from my window. I tucked a strand of my shoulder length dark brown hair behind my ear. I saw him walking out and spring into action.
" Be careful" I said touching the window.
"Stay here" I demanded Christian giving him a stern look. He glared back at me
"Why I have fire or did you forget" he said with a smirk and trying to make me look stupid, I wanted to slap him, now was not the time though.
" It's to dangerous Christian" I snapped my voice loud and demanding, he flinched very little, and just glared.
"I don't take orders" he said planting a kiss on my forehead and pushed passed me leaving.
"You can't " I screamed my voice cracking, as the images raced back into my mind of what happened to Ren, his body soaking in blood whimpering in pain. I threw up in a bush, and took off after Christian. He was heading toward the invasion I caught up to him, but went the opposite way he was heading. I pulled my stake out ready to kick some ass, and putting my pitch black hair up in a bun so it couldn't get in the way. I killed one and got grabbed I struggled to get free. The strigoi's fangs came close to my neck. I closed my eyes ready to die, as I heard screaming coming from him. I opened my eyes seeing him on fire. I looked around and finally spotted Christian, I mouthed thank you he gave me a head nod. _
She thought it was too dangerous she would be dead without me, I smirked to myself starting other strigoi's on fire and watched them burn. I kept my eyes on Skylar, she may be my guardian, but I'm her man and I am not going to give her up that easy. Especially after it took her a year to get over Ren, and she wasn't even fully over him. I know she will never love me how she did Ren, which hurt but I could keep her from trying to end it all.
Soon the invasion was over we got the wards back up and killed the rest. I looked for sky, I saw her, she ran up to me hugging me. I wrapped my arms around her tightly, and kissed the top of her head.
"Thank you. . . . . Thank you so much Christian, I would be dead without you" I looked into her eyes.
"Don't thank me, there no need for it. I don't know what I would do without you." She put her hand on my cheek pulling me down into a kiss; I kissed her back and put my hands on her hips pulling her closer to me. I bit at her lip hearing her giggle, we slowly let our tongues explore each other's mouth.
Let's go get something to eat I'm hungry." I said and we started to walk towards the dorm. I put my arm around her shoulder keeping her close, she smiled at me.
