"No…you can't…please…" she moaned, head pounding, body aching.
She hurt. He wouldn't stop. Why wouldn't he stop?
"Dear child, I will never stop…you have been a bad girl…you
must be punished for it…" he hissed.
"Why are you doing this to me!" she said.
She heard him snort. "Don't make me laugh, child. You disobeyed me. Something you will learn to never do again…"
He kicked her so she rolled over to the other side of the room. She slammed against the wall, and groaned in agony. She hurt worse than before now. She started to see stars. 'No…I can't black out now…I have to get out of here…I must stop him.' But how she was going to get out of there, she didn't know exactly. She tried to think but just made her head hurt even more.
"You're such a fool. Thinking you could sneak into my headquarters, and demand for a surrender. Ha! You're weak. You're pathetic. And you can't stop me. What even gave you such a ridiculous idea?" he sneered. He pick her up by her hair. His grueling fingers digging into her scalp, making her head hurt even worse. Her eyes snapped open.
'Raven…'
Her eyes began to glow. Objects started to float around her. With every bit of mental strength she had, she pushed him away towards the other end of the room, slamming him into the wall. He lay unconscious. She smiled weakly as she made a dash for the exit, getting out of the building as fast as she could, despite her physical and mental pains.
When she had gotten further away out of the headquarters she had been imprisoned in, she collapsed on the ground, out of breath. She sat there, panting, trying to gather enough energy to fly off of this miserable place. It was no longer the haven she had once thought of as home. Once the War had broken out, there were barely any safe places, and it tore the planet apart. Many of its inhabitants lay slaughtered amongst the streets, some hung as trophies. It was now a disgusting and disgraceful place to live. She tried not to think of it. Instead, she thought of getting to the place where it was safe. For Azarath was no longer that safe and happy place she looked forward to waking up and seeing everyday. Azarath…was now possession to the Galdoranians. They had to be stopped. One way or another, they just had to be stopped…
Elsewhere, on Earth…
"Azarath…Mentrion…Zinthos….Azarath…Mentrion…Zinthos…" Raven was on the roof, meditating. She was concentrating. Then, all of a sudden, she shivered all over. Strange, she didn't feel cold. Then, she threw her head back in agony and held it. Images flashed across her head, too fast for her to make out. When they had stopped, she was on her knees, dripping in cold sweat. But what she did get out of it was…fear.
