Daddy, Why Is My Hair Pink?

Well, it's Kawaii Berri again with a GaaxSaku (sort of). Pure fluff about how Gaara's son keeps on asking why his hair is pink.

"Daddy, why is my hair pink?" the five year old Kyo asked his father.

The Kazekage looked up from his paperwork, surprised at the question. "Why do you ask, son?"

"The other kids keep on asking me." Kyo replied. "So Dad, why is my hair pink?"

Gaara sighed. "Your hair is pink because your mother's hair is pink."

Kyo seemed to accept this as an answer. Gaara went back to his papers when suddenly Kyo asked another question. "Then Dad, why isn't your hair pink?"

Gaara twitched slightly. "Because my mother's hair wasn't pink."

"Was grandmom's hair red?"

"No."

"..." Kyo was now officially confused.

"Don't worry about it son. Just go get some sleep, it's getting pretty late."

"Aww." Kyo pouted before leaving the room.

Gaara sighed when Kyo walked out of the door. Did he ever ask that many questions when he was Kyo's age?

A few days later, Kyo knocked at Gaara's office door again.

"Come in."

Kyo opened the door, sniffing again. "Dad, is pink hair girly?"

Gaara looked up from his mound of endless paperwork and stared at his son, confused. "Huh?"

Kyo sniffed louder. "The other kids tease me and say pink is for girls."

Gaara sighed and put down his pen. "Pink is not for girls only."

"Really?"

"..well, is there a law saying pink is for girls?"

Kyo scrunched his eyebrows, thinking. "..no…."

Gaara nodded. "Then go and tell those kids the next time they tease you that pink isn't for girls."

Kyo smiled. "Okie!"

The next day, Kyo came knocking on the door again. And the next day. And the day after that. This kept on going on for a month, until one day, Kyo knocked on Gaara's office door again. Gaara groaned. Maybe they should switch a kindergarten.

"Come in..."

Kyo walked in and asked his dad straightforward. "Dad, how come I don't have red hair like you?"

"Because your mother's hair is pink."

"But Aiko has brown hair from her dad and her mom's hair is blonde."

"..."

"Dad, was your hair pink before you dyed it red?"

"NO."

"Then how is your hair red if no one in your family has red hair? Auntie Temari and Uncle Kankurou don't have red hair."

Gaara sighed for the upteenth time. Then he replied in the only way he could think of. "Because."

"Because what?"

"Because because."

"Because because what?"

"Because because because."

"Because because-"

Gaara groaned. He was getting a major headache. "Blame your mother."

Apparently, this strange answer got Kyo to shut up. He turned around and went out of the room. Gaara sighed and went back to his paperwork. He was just reading a mission report when-

"YOUR FATHER SAID WHAT?!?!?" Gaara cringed.

Hahaha, Gaara, perhaps that wasn't the right answer ;)
