Declaimer: I dont own Fairy Tail!

The last thing I remember was looking up as a strange light appeared out of nowhere and enveloped everything, making me fall down on the hard ground and lose continuousness, falling into the darkness.

As the competition ended, I sighed in relief, happy that no one got hurt. I believed in my friends but there was nothing more painful than watching them get hurt and not being able to help. This year, I was chosen again to be part of the Fairy Tail team to compete in the Grand Magic Games and this time I wouldn't give up without winning my fights, not even if I had to break myself down. Sighing once again, I watched as Natsu returned smiling, happy he got a higher rank than Sabertooth, even thought he came in second place. It felt like deja-vu as I looked at everyone around me, smiling myself as my team laughed. It was the same as last years, Erza, Natsu, Gray, Wendy and me, as we all wanted to get our revenge for what happened last year. Each one of us held some kind of resentment or regret and polished our magic and skills to overcome our weakness and become stronger than ever.

"So, what did you think?" Asked Natsu suddenly, appearing behind me "Is it only me but everyone else got weak?"

Laughing along with others, I reminded him he came in second place and he started yelling it was all Blue Pegasus Eve´s fault with his snow magic, as they needed to overcome many obstacles in a ice cold field and find a map. As you can guess, all Natsu did was destroy things until he reached the goal and I truly hope the sponsors wont as us money to repair it... After all, they should have said it was against the rules to break the obstacles. Sighing again, I looked up at the sky and smiled brightly. It was this year! It had to be! Fairy Tail, the guild I belonged to, my beloved family, would become number one again, just as it was eight years ago!

"Hey, Luce!" Natsu called me, appearing out of nowhere right before me, looking into my eyes as his face almost touched mine. "What are you thinking about?"

Confused and surprised, I pushed him away with screaming with shock, calling everyone´s attention as I fell down on my but and hit slightly the floor with my head. "Au..." I thought, taking someone who helped me get up again.

"Are you ok?" Erza asked, glaring and Gray who started to laugh at Natsu who fell too. "The battle pairs are about to be called. You should pay more attention.

Apologizing to everyone, specially Natsu who glared at me irritated, I couldn't help but feel angry at myself. I promised myself I would give my all this time and spacing out was totally the wrong way to do it.

"Pay attention." Erza said once again, looking at me, this time with a little smile dancing on her lips.

"Sorry..." It seamed like all I did lately was apologize, but who would judge me? Looking at the announcement I gasped when I saw my face appear. "What!?" I yelled, looking furious. It was the same as last year, being chosen first to engage in a battle. But that wasn't the reason I felt crushed. It was because no matter how hard I try, I knew I wouldn't be able to win against Sting from Sabertooth no matter how hard I tried. I could hear my friends encouragement words as I walked down towards the arena, knowing what kind of outcome would come out.

No matter how hard I tried and worked, I was unable to win against Natsu, who was the same as Sting, a dragon slayer, so there was no way I would be able to win against the latter, who was almost the same level as Natsu. I said ALMOST! The year before Natsu bet his and his friend´s, Rogue´s, butt, but that only meant that they would work harder to get revenge...

Sighing, I looked at the boy in front of me and couldn't help but sigh again. Oh well, at least I would go down with pride, trying to hit him as many times as my hopeless self managed before going down. The blond guy looked at me with his dark eyes and smirked.

"Hey blondie." He said, smirking again. "Ready to lose?"

Of course I knew I would lose, but there was no way I would give up so soon. "You wish!" I replayed, looking at him the same way he did at me, seeing that I managed to irritate as our eyes crossed paths.

"Are you guys ready?" Asked the announcer and received a huge yes from the crowd. "Then... You have thirty minutes to win over your opponent. Ready, set, go!"

Not losing any time, I took my keys and yelled. "Open, Gate of the Maiden Key!" Virgo appeared and bowed to me, asking if it was time for the punishment. "Virgo, a tunnel!" I yelled, taking my whip out and disappearing in the dust Virgo made.

"Damn..." I heard Sting say, trying not to breath with his nose and closing his eyes a little bit. This gave me an opening and I called Loke, who appeared behind him thanks to the tunnel Virgo created. "How I hate this stupid spirits..." I heard him once again, annoying me a lot. I totally loved my spirits and he was the last person who could talk about them that way. Using his surprise as an advantage, I used my whip to lock his arms and Loke hit him, sending him fly towards the wall.

"Uff..." I said as the dust went away and my spirits disappeared. "Oh, wait!" I yelled, felling suddenly really tired. There was no way I used too much power to feel tired already. Looking around confused, I watched a little bit scared as Sting got up and glared at me, his eyes promising to get his revenge.

"You did well blondie... But I this is the first and the last time you´ll hit me..." His eyes promised to take revenge, as he whispered something I couldn't hear well. And then he suddenly disappeared from my sight, appearing near me with his fist pointed to my face ready to hit me. I flinched, ready to take damage when something suddenly hit us and I looked up, at the strange light that surrounded us.

"Ahhh!" I yelled as I was pushed towards the wall, flying quickly and hitting it, passing out the moment my head touched the hard floor. The darkness took me in happily and erased all trace of pain, allowing me to sleep for a moment.
