Arthur rested on his knees, blood splattered all over the front of his uniform. The rain fell from the heavens above, hitting his face and mixing with the tears running down his stained cheeks. Standing before the English nation was Alfred, his rifle in hand and aimed at Arthur's forehead. It had been a long, difficult fight for both men. Arthur was on his final thread, desperate to keep Alfred under his control. Alfred's fight for freedom never let up, despite all Arthur did to crush his revolutionary spirit. Arthur looked up at the young colony standing before him, tears continuing to stream down his cheeks.

"Give me my freedom, England," whispered Alfred, his finger twitching on the trigger. Arthur did not want to lose Alfred. The older man had practically raised him. He was afraid to lose the one person that ever cared about him.

"Give me my freedom!" yelled Alfred, slowly pulling the rifle's trigger. Arthur softly sighed, holding up his hands in surrender to the young colony before him. Alfred slowly let down his rifle, dropping it to the wet, cold earth. Alfred fell to his knees, hugging Arthur.

"Thank you, Iggy," whispered Alfred, "I will make you so proud of me."

Arthur watched as Alfred walked onto the podium beside his fellow countrymen after an outstanding finish at the Olympics. The Englishman smiled as the American team received their gold medal, one that they worked so hard for.

Alfred had indeed made Arthur proud, in many more ways than he wished to count.
