Hello, people of Gotham City and the surrounding areas! I would like to take this oppertunity to formally introduce myself. I am Barney, a divorced father of 2 trying to make a living in this dog-eat-dog world.
What do I do? I work as a henchman for the various supercriminals of Gotham City.
Now, before you start judging me let me explain something. Do you know how much money supervillains make? Two-Face easily brings in 2 million IN A SINGLE DAY (you know, a million for each face), and do you know who he gives that million to?
That's right, his hired help.
Yes, the job does have its drawbacks, namely Batman and the GCPD beating you up every chance they get. I've got to pay for my daughters' educations somehow, and their piece of shit step-father isn't going to cut it.
I'm currently working under the Penguin, which is so far a pretty steady gig. He's definitely the least insane criminal I've dealt with so far. Right now I hear there's a big plan he's cooking up, and maybe that's what we're meeting for on Friday.
Basically I'm going to use this blog to talk about my day-to-day goings on as a henchman. I might even throw in a few stories from my past jobs if nothing big happens.
A word to any GCPD officers currently reading my blog: I'm just a henchman. You don't shoot the messenger, right? I mean, you have shot me before, but still…
