Ricky's Mom Has Got It Going On

Summary: Ricky's mom is back in town. She's getting a little… bored with going clean. Nora X Jack. This based on Season 3, Episode 17, before we figure out Nora is a lesbian already in a relationship. One-shot.
(3rd Person POV; Ricky's apartment, right before Amy is introduced to Nora)
"Ricky? Where are you man? I need some advice about Madison. I heard she was going out with some 30 year old…" yelled Jack from the doorway.
"Sorry, Ricky's not home," Nora said as she walked in from the kitchen.
"And you are?" Jack asked.
"Nora Underwood, Ricky's mom. And I could ask you the same thing," Nora said.
"A pleasure to meet you. My name is Jack Pappas. I'm one of Ricky's friends from school. Do you know when Ricky will be getting home?" Jack said.
"Nope, no idea. But I can give you some advice. I heard what happened when you shouted so loud everyone in the country could hear," Nora said.
"Oh yeah, what would that be? I feel like I'm trapped between a rock and a hard place. On one hand, I don't want to be that lost ex-boyfriend who doesn't know what to do without her. On the other hand, I don't want her to get hurt by this creeper," said Jack.
"I have two words for you: move on. You're a cute kid. You can get other girls that are ten times better than a girl who doesn't want you, who obviously has something wrong with her," Nora said as she stepped forward, putting her hand on his elbow. "You know who would really make this Madison girl jealous? If you got together with an older woman." She slid her hand down from his elbow to his hand.
"Mrs. Underwood, you're trying to seduce me. Aren't you?" Jack asked.
Nora leaded in close and whispered, "Only if it works. And call me Nora. Mrs. Underwood was my mother in law."
"So Nora, how far do you advise us to go? How far is enough to make Madison jealous?" Jack said while checking her out hungrily.
"Not all the way, if that's what you mean. I can't break any more laws, or I'll be back in the slammer," Nora remarked.
Jack was knocked out of his daze. "What? What happened?"
The sexual tension in the room decreased. "Ricky never told you why he has foster parents?"
"No. What happened?" Jack asked, concerned she was a murder or something.
"To put it short, Ricky's dad hit both of us. He did other, worse things to Ricky as well. Instead of protecting him, I got drunk and high all the time," said Nora.
"Are you drunk right now?" Jack asked.
"Nope. I've been clean for a while," Nora responded.
"Oh. Well, I'm sorry about your marriage not turning out very well. You know, I was the one who helped put him back in jail. I saw him buying drugs in a rough part of town and called the police. The found him with the drugs and put him away for good," Jack said.
Nora's sarcastic demeanor softened. "Thank you, Jack. I don't know if you realize this, but you probably saved someone's life, whether it would have been me, Amy, John, or Ricky." She tenderly kissed his cheek.
With the contact, any hope of normal conversation was lost. A passionate frenzy began between them.
In all of Jack's experience, he never though just making out could feel so good. It was more intimate than going further with Adrian or Shawn.
All too soon, it was time to go to school. Fun time was over, but Jack couldn't let it go yet.
"I had a great time with you this morning. When can we do this again?" Jack asked in a pleading voice.
"Soon," Nora said with a smirk.
