*I do not own two of the characters in here...I don't want to say who they are yet if you haven't figured it out already...
**This story is based off of a nightmare I had a couple of nights ago...so enjoy :)
The Demon's Game:
His Fault
The thunderstorm clashed around them, hiding the girl's sobs of agony except from the two onlookers only a few feet away from her.
Tears stained her face, hidden by the rain that poured down in such ferocity that it was a miracle they weren't frozen to death.
The young girl stroked the hair of the lifeless body next to her...her sister's lifeless body.
"I'm so sorry Paige, I never meant for any of this to happen," the young girl said, her tears beginning anew.
The two onlookers looked saddened to see the young girl so broken.
The man took a couple of steps forward, his already soaked clothing somewhat weighing him down. He pushed his disheveled hair out of his face, not bothering to fix the crocked bow-tie even though his fingers twitched at being denied the habit of such an action.
His companion, a young girl with long brown hair, looked at the scene with sad eyes that had already seen much. Her red dress was coated with mud and extremely soaked, giving it a dirty brown appearance.
"I'm so sorry Melody, I didn't mean for any of this to happen. If I'd just listened...," he was cut off as the girl known as Melody stared at him.
Her vibrant green eyes that had held such life when they met her were now full of agony and white-hot rage.
Her brown hair turned black with being trapped in the wilderness for a week and the rain that now pelted them without mercy.
The powers she had been given in this strange place had faded away for the moment, and yet she did not care about that. She cared about telling that man it was all his fault and made sure he knew it.
"You're right, if you had just listened to me when she was taken...or even in the beginning...none of this would've happened!" Melody screamed at him, knowing full well he'd taken her words to heart.
"I used to idolize you...I actually thought you would've helped me when you showed up a week ago, with your companion in tow. But I was wrong! My sister's dead and it's all because you didn't stop HER from taking us! I trusted you Doctor...and look where that got me," Melody said venomously.
Turning away from him, Melody continued to cry over the broken body that had been her younger sister.
The Doctor looked back over at Clara, sorrow etched on his face that mirrored her own.
It was his fault...all of it...
