When All The Chips Have Fallen
Fade In
How fitting? The more Elena thought about it, her life reminded her of a badly written play. Just as everything begins to seem okay, somethings tips it way out of balance. If it wasn't so tragic it'd actually be sort of funny. She wishes she could give it a big laugh and it would all be over. It could all make sense. But that can't happen can it? Since the world enjoys making her life a living hell. She's gotten pretty used to it. She just has one question.
Why?
Why was it that malicious things always happen to her? Why does she have to lose people who care for her? Why can't she get a break. Sure, she's done her share of being selfish and self-centered. So has everyone else. The thing is, she's not mad at the world. She's not mad at anyone, really. Except for herself. She was a fool to think she could go through this and make it out unscathed.
In the past few years she didn't expect to lose family members. Teachers. Friends. She surely did not intend on falling in love, with a vampire. Especially not two. While most kids would be enjoying their senior year, she was doing chasing after original vampires, trying to get one brother back while hopelessly falling for the other, etc.
The weirdest part is, she wouldn't take it back. For anything. Even with all of these things happening, she still had some of the funnest parts of her life. Well, human life. She learned valuable lessons. She went on dangerous adventures. Five minutes of happiness in a day of sorrow can really make a difference.
So here she is. A newly turned vampire. Scared? Yes, she is. Sad? Very much so. Confused? Yes indeed? Confident? Sure. Why, you may ask?
Well, when everything else has gone wrong, what's left?
Fade Out
