It was a nice, sunny day; perfect day to go to a baseball game.
Dean and Cas were sitting in nice seats, observing the game, and hanging out-as friends.
Dean was sick and tired of everyone thinking they were a couple. Sure, they hung out, and sure, they were pretty close. But now more often than not when they went out, they were thought of by the public as an item. Which unnerved Dean to no end. Cas, on the other hand, couldn't care less what the public thought, like usual. Dean himself normally didn't let opinions bother him-but they were so not a couple!
Five minutes in, and Cas gave him a not-so-gentle poke in the ribs. After mumbling a nasty retort, Dean followed Cas's eyes to the Jumbotron. His eyes widened as he saw none other than the kiss cam.
He could feel heat rise into his cheeks-part embarrassment, part anger-and most of the audience waited for some action. Cas met Dean's eyes as they awkwardly stared. There's no way I'm gonna kiss Cas! He's like a brother to me!
Not satisfied, the kiss cam moved on. Dean shrunk in his seat, trying to keep himself hidden from the hundred people who had wanted him to kiss Cas.
Less than ten minutes later, it happened again. If I run into this Jumbotron guy, I'm gonna murder him. Dean excused himself to go buy them corndogs.
After said corndogs had been eaten, and the crowd was finished being at war over a "foul ball," it happened once more. Only this time, KISS! was written across the bottom. Dean, his face set and glaring, stared right to the direction of the camera, wherever it was, and shook his head. Cas merely sat quietly beside Dean, quite focused on the game.
By the end of the game, Dean was fed up with the looks and the kiss cam and the pressure of it all-and his team was loosing. When the kiss cam came back on, this time saying JUST KISS ALREADY!, Dean broke. About to mouth profanity at the large screen, there was a tap on his shoulder.
It was Cas. Before Dean could get a word out, his friend beat him to it. "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." Before Dean could blink, Cas' lips were on his own. It was quick, but-HE JUST FREAKIN KISSED CAS!
An "Aw" went around the crowd as the Jumbotron showed the-couple, was it?-with FINALLY! flashing at the bottom of the screen.
In the control room, the two men were cackling.
"Dude," Sam said between peels of laughter, "I don't know how you managed to set this up, but remind me to never doubt you and your ways again!"
Gabriel grinned. "I'll be sure to remember those exact words, Moose."
