Everyday Superhero
I know an everyday superhero.
He's the bravest,
And the sweetest.
He went through so much,
But always had a smile on his face,
And a gleam in his eye.
He was so strong,
He beat all the odds.
When others said he couldn't,
He said he could.
When others said "Impossible".
He proved them wrong.
But even a superhero has to leave us.
Whether it be now or later.
The pain will never be gone,
But it will get better.
What we have to know,
Is actually quite simple.
Our superhero,
Is now our guardian angel.
I know an everyday superhero,
He's gone,
