Annabeth believed that Zeus had feared the humans and split them into two, so they had to spend their life to search for their other half. She believed in this, because she was who she was. She was a demi-god, she believed in Greek myths, why wouldn't she believe in this?

Most of her friends in the mortal world, made fun of her. It's just myths, they would say.

Of course, she knew he wasn't on the best terms with her mother, but did that really matter?

He had humor, he could be smart, he was handsome – he was everything she ever wanted!
