Shayera Hol sat in the Monitor Room alone looking at her screen, she had just relieved Vixen and Fire from their duty and took over for her four hour shift, this was Shayera's least favorite job, just sitting at a desk and staring at a monitor for four hours was mind-numbingly boring for the Thanagarian, who would rather be engaged in some manner of combat.
"Hey Shayera, would you care for some coffee?" Diana's soft voice said suddenly, bringing a smile to the redhead's face.
"Sure Diana, what are you doing here?" Shayera asks,
"Thought you could use some company, I didn't mean to intrude," the brunette said before setting the steaming mug down on the coaster next to Shayera before turning to leave,
"Diana, wait," Shayera said before reaching out and gently grabbing the Amazon's right wrist, halting Diana's exit.
Diana looked down at Shayera's hand gripping her wrist, the redhead resisted the urge to caress Diana's soft skin with her fingers.
"Please, I would like it if you stayed," Shayera says.
"All right, Shayera," Diana said with a warm smile,
Diana takes a seat next to Shayera, the redhead smiled, she was beyond grateful for the brunette's company, the two heroines enjoyed small talk while watching the monitors, being with Diana made Shayera's shift seem to fly by, but then Diana and Shayera's good time came to an abrupt end when Green Lantern John Stewart came into the Monitor Room,
"Diana, why are you here with Shayera, you're not on the roster for monitor duty?"
