What I Did In The Christmas Holidays
by Matthew Bryans, Class 4B
In the Christmas holidays, an alien fell into my back garden. I got a new bike from Father Christmas, and I was riding it around the garden, then the alien fell out of the sky.
He was big and sort of scary looking, but I wasn't frightened. Our cat Allie was though. All her fur went up and she hissed a lot.
The alien had a sort of orange face and sharp teeth. He was wearing a long dress but I thought that was a bit stupid, 'cos he was a man. Men don't wear dresses. I think the alien was asleep or even dead, 'cos he wasn't moving.
Even though I wasn't scared I went and fetched Mummy and Daddy, who were a bit sad because Mummy had gone weird that morning and climbed onto the roof. I ran into the house and told them that there was an alien in the garden.
Mummy told me not to be stupid and to get ready to eat Christmas dinner (which I hate 'cos I have to eat icky sprouts and cabbage). Daddy believed me though, he said he'd seen aliens on the telly that morning.
So I showed him the alien in the back garden, where he'd landed in Mummy's flowers. I think Daddy was scared, 'cos his face went very white.
He told me to go inside and tell Mummy to phone the police. Mummy started crying, probably 'cos the alien squashed all her flowers.
She went into the garden with Daddy, and I went into my bedroom to watch the alien from my window. I wasn't scared, honest.
A little bit later, these people in suits arrived with a big white van. I think they must have been the police, 'cos they came into our garden and put the alien into a big bag, and then put him in the van.
And then they drove off, and Mummy told me to get ready to eat dinner. She told me that I wasn't allowed to tell anyone about the alien in our garden, 'cos they'd never believe me. But I decided to write about it for school, 'cos she told me the other day I shouldn't tell lies.
In the Christmas Holiday's, an alien fell into my back garden. It was fantastic!
