Hey guys, so this is for the "Endless Reflection" challenge. My pairing is a light, hinted 1xR. Come on, they need more love. So here's my story, I hope you like it. Set ten years into the future. Keep in mind that it's in Heero's point of view... kinda.
The world was thought to be a peaceful place after the painful "final battle". It hadn't quite been the last battle, however.
Heero could still remember the fight to get Valkanus before the Perfect Peace People or what was left of the mischievous Romefeller foundation.
Dorothy hadn't helped at all! No, instead, she had Relena come over to distract him. And she was distracting!
Heero shook his head almost fondly at the thought. Almost. He'd never truly shake the soldier instinct. It had him wrapped around its little fingers. He was a breed soldier.
A soldier who used to protect a pacifist, while she pulled some serious crap from out of her sleeve. Relena had a stupid tendency to often cause herself to get in over her head. He'd seen it all too often.
A tendency he was always saving her from. Like the time Mariemaia kidnapped her. He'd almost grounded her for that one. Although, it hadn't completely been her fault... Stupid children and their thoughts on world domination!
Like father, like daughter. Treize and his crazy shenanigans.
But trying to convince a brainwashed kid that war wasn't the answer was stupid reasoning on her part. Besides, Heero always figured it was a matter of time before someone kidnapped her. Half the time, he'd wanted to kidnap her himself. Just to shut her up, really.
She was always pushing her ideals. Like the time she'd had the "smart" idea to board Libra. Just to talk to that idiot brother of her's. Yeah, that'd gone over well. That plan ended with her getting locked into a "guest" room.
Her pushy nature would be the death of her eventually. It was for that reason alone that so many people wanted her either dead, as their figurehead, or heavily medicated. But it wasn't like she was that annoying... most of the time.
Heero stepped out of the car warily. He knew why he was here, and Relena knew why he'd come at all. He was curious. Honestly, that was all. No dirty intentions behind it.
He hadn't been here for years. He'd quit being Vice foreign minister Darlian's bodyguard for quite some time now. Five years actually. He hadn't seen her or talked to her for that long.
Then he saw her. She was facing away and talking to someone.
His eyes widened as a little blonde-haired girl ran passed him and flung herself at her mother. The woman turned around and took her into her arms while the child gave a little, "Mommy!"
She was easily only five or so.
Nile blue eyes met his own Prussian blue ones. The owner of the eyes stared him straight in the face over the child's shoulder. A knowing silence passed between the two.
They'd keep their little secret theirs. Relena would hold the child and shake off the questions about who the possible father was. She knew he knew, and said so often.
"Heero," Relena whispered affentionately.
"Relena," he returned softly.
The little girl turned around to see what her mother was staring at. Blue eyes flashed up and down him, trying to understand why her mother looked so happy to see this intruder.
Blue eyed people who have a child will always have a blue-eyed child, Heero mused to himself.
He was the father.
And he knew it, so who else needed to?
Fin.
I'm gonna make a oneshot ending and prequel story that explained what happened. But after I finish my other GW story. That's right! I DO plan to update. ~_*
