You and Clarke worked together in silence, sorting medical supplies from Mount Weather. It was a comfortable kind of silence, showing your trust in one another, and it calmed you. You had always been like this, always leaning on the other for support and looking to them for guidance. Clarke was like your sister, or what you imagined a sister to be like, because you didn't know anyone but Bellamy who had one.
For some reason your relationship with Clarke bothered Lexa, another of your close friends. It wasn't as though Lexa and Clarke didn't get along, they too were very close friends, but whenever Lexa found you and Clarke together she would become closed off. She's go quiet or just straight up walk away from you.
This was a fairly new development, too. She had started about two months ago, prior to that the three of you had been fine. You decided it was time to confront her, to find out why she was acting so strangely.
You saw your opportunity about an hour later when she entered the tent, looking for bandages. She immediately clammed up when she saw you and Clarke working together, as expected, and you decided it was time to get to the bottom of this.
"Hey Lexa?" You inquired, "Can I talk to you for a minute?"
"Of course Y/N, what do you need?"
"Umm," you said, glancing at Clarke, "can we talk outside?"
"Sure," she responded, leading the way out of the med tent and going to stand in the space between two tents, "what's wrong?"
"Well, nothing's wrong exactly, I just wanted to address the way you've been acting around Clarke and I."
"I haven't been doing anything."
"That's exactly the problem, you get weirdly quiet when you see us together."
"I just don't like the idea of you being so close, I feel like somethings happening between you." At this you burst out laughing, but stopped when you caught Lexa's glare.
"Clarke and I are extremely close friends, but trust me nothing has happened between us, nor will anything ever happen."
"I see," Lexa answered, seeming more at ease now for some reason.
"Why would it even matter to you?"
"I have feelings for you, Y/N, and I don't like the idea of you being with her."
"W-what?" You sputtered, shock evident on your face. "Are you serious?"
"Of course I am, why would I joke about something like that?"
"I guess you wouldn't, I'm gonna need a second to process this information."
Lexa looked hurt, "Does that mean you don't feel the same way?"
"Of course I do," you responded, not fully registering the words you were saying. "Wait what? What did I just-" You were cut off by Lexa pressing her lips against yours, her lips tasting like the ground, like salt and fresh air and the earth all at once. You wrapped your arms around her neck, pulling her close to you, pulling away after a few moments for air.
"Wow," you breathed, "I totally did not see that coming."
"Just be quiet and kiss me," Lexa whispered, pulling you back to her.
