The day after evacuating "Future London"
In Professor Layton's office, Luke could not stop thinking about his relationship with the Professor. After all they had been through, Luke wondered what was in his future. Being the curious boy he was, he needed to ask.
"Professor, what do you think will happen in the future?"
"That is a vague question, my boy. What point in the future are you talking about? A few minutes from now? An hour? A month?A year? My boy, please be specific."
"Let me rephrase the question than."Luke paused with uncertainty. " Professor, will I always be your apprentice?"
"My boy, as long as you want to be my apprentice than that is who you are."
"Really Professor?"
"Yes,but your question does remind me of a puzzle. Do you want to try solving it?"
" Of course, Professor."
With the puzzle solved and Luke's question answered, the boy slept soundly that night.

Sitting in on class
Because Luke had a day off from school, he sat in on the Professor's Introduction to Anthropology class. A boy sat down next to Luke, and the next thing Luke knew the boy started talking to him.
" Hey, I've seen you around. Are you the Professor's kid or something?"
"No, i'm not his child. I'm Professor Layton's number one apprentice."
The boy laughed and Luke grew a bit angry, but he knew he was Professor Layton's apprentice. That was all that mattered to Luke, anyway.

Going to America
After Luke left Layton for America, he was greatly displeased.
Professor Layton was his mentor and going to America, it had felt like Luke was losing his father. Maybe that boy in Professor's Layton's class had been right, The Professor was like a father to him.
However, Luke liked to think of the Professor as a mentor least, that's what he told himself.

A/N: This is a test in writing Layton and Luke in character. These are just some moments between them with not real purpose.
