"You get on their bad side and they'll destroy you!"
They would destroy him. He had no idea it would be him who had to do the destroying.
"No one would miss me"
He meant it. The Organization was only meant to find Kingdom Hearts and nothing more. The nobodies had no hearts and would not be able to create relationships, let alone miss somebody.
"That's not true. I would…"
I wasn't fair that he was left behind, while XIII left. There was nothing he could do about it.
"You really don't remember. It's me. You know, Axel"
He was the only person he had developed something with. Could he really call it a relationship? It was more of an attachment. It hurt to know that the only person he trusted didn't even remember him.
"I've been given these icky orders to destroy you if you refuse to come back with me"
He had to do it, but he really didn't want to. Something inside his chest was aching, but it couldn't have been his heart. He didn't have one.
"You really do remember me this time?"
Excitement surged through his body at this moment. The sigh that escaped his lips when XIII didn't remember the Superior got rid of any hope he had.
"I'm so flattered!"
He really was. XIII remembered, but it was too late and he had to be destroyed. It would be a hard battle, he was sure, but he would fight with all his strength. After all, XIII would never have to deal with the pain of being a nobody if he was dead.
"Let's meet again in the next life."
He couldn't say that he wouldn't miss XIII. The next life would be better. Would they still be nobodies in the next life?
"Yeah, I'll be waiting. "
XIII would wait as long as it took. He would at least given VIII that much.
"Silly. Just because you have a next life."
He had to keep his hope up. Hope was all he really had left.
"I wanted to see Roxas. He was the only one I liked."
XIII was all he had.
"He made me feel like I had a heart."
He did. As IX always said, the nobodies had hearts and VIII knew he had one.
