Even though her feelings were real her hopes were all but imaginary
Setting: Just before the final confrontation with Mansex (hehehehe)
It had been a few days, or even weeks after he left, Yuffie didn't know if he'd come back again, but everyone knew she missed him, she wasn't as hyper as she was when he was around, she wasn't as cheery ether, everyone tried cheering her up even cloud and he never tried to cheer anyone up!
The main reason was Yuffie had fallen for the keybarer a year ago, and since then hasn't been able to let her feelings go she understood what love was but had never really felt it until he came along, she knew he had someone he loved but would he be willing to accept the fact that someone else loved him maybe more than she ever would?
"This may be your last chance, say goodbyes because you may never see them again" The words that Mickey spoke rang in Sora's head ever since he left the world that never was he was going to the one place he felt at home, other than the islands; Radiant garden
He ran into old friends again happy to see them and told them he'd see them again, but a part of him felt he may never see them again, the most amazing part about it was that Cloud actually told him not to feel down, that they would meet again no matter what cloud may have been before he sure was never a optimist.
He met everyone again the last person on his list was Yuffie, he dreaded running into her, it wasn't that he didn't care about her but, even after all this time he still…he didn't really know how to explain it but…he felt something for her that much was true he ran into her at the Great maw the place he faced countless heartless, she was facing away from him, but she knew, she knew he was here and what he was here for.
"Yuffie…"
"I know why you're here Sora I know you're going to say will meet again…but we both, no we all know we won't see you again" Yuffie said in an uncharacteristic manner
Sora was a bit confused but he didn't want it to end this way not like this.
"Yuffie, no matter what happens even if I can't come back, I'll find a way back to you I promise!"
"Why!" She yelled
"What?" Sora responded perplexed
"Why would you dare to say that to me…when we both know you love Kairi!"
"Before, you told me you'd never forget me even if you wanted to…and even still those words affected me, the one whom I've risked my life for, never once told me any such thing I was selfless to save her, but…even now when I realized the person by my side fighting with me, helping me was the person I should've been fighting for…all along" Sora responded softly
"What do you mean Sora?"
"I like you Yuffie, I may have been fighting to save Kairi but my heart belongs to you so no matter what I'll return to you, after this fight is over I'll be back no matter what I have to do I'll return to you…"
Yuffie felt tears well up as she ran to him and tackled him to the ground as the tears started to fall she kissed him as hard as she could when his daze ended she looked into his eyes.
"You promise?" She asked rhetorically
"I swear I will."
A/N I randomly felt like doing this it came to my head like five minutes ago so I decided to write it, if I should continue give me a heads up and if you find any errors or anything tell me or i'll send the cheetos cheeta to eat you! Also I'm kinda thinking of doing a story with Yuna Rikku and pain and probably yuffie of course the main hero will be sora but i kinda have an idea for one pm me if you wanna know what my idea is (its epic sauce!)
