"I want to try fishing."
"You looking for a new hobby, Ziva?"
Her comment certainly struck everyone in the bullpen as odd, but then again, they all felt a little strange not having a case in well over two weeks.
"I don't think fishing is… for you. I can lend you a few games if you want." McGee was trying to be helpful, but only got annoyed stares from the rest of the team.
"Yeah, good idea Probie, give her more target practice. I think she needs a sport hobby. Get some of that ninja energy out of her. Whaddaya say, Ziva? You could sign up for tennis. Get one of those cute little outfits, you know, with the short skirt and the-" *whack*
"She needs to save that energy for work, DiNozzo. Got a case."
At first Tony was less than happy about the slap, but the excitement of finally having a case took over a few moments later. All the agents grabbed their gear and headed for the elevator.
"What do you know about fishing, Gibbs?"
"Fishing for what?"
Ziva gave him a confused look. "Aren't all fish practically the same?" Ziva was the only person in the elevator that didn't let out an amused chuckle.
"Nah. You want to go fishing, I can take you sometime. But for now we have to catch a suspect." Gibbs gave the side of Ziva's head a quick kiss and was the first to exit the elevator. Tony and McGee both stayed behind in shock for a few seconds. Ziva however was grinning at them as she backed out to follow their boss.
"If Gibbs can handle it, fishing must not be that bad, right?"
