I grew up in a small village in the Enchanted Forest. I was born and raised during the Evil Queen's rule. My mother, a seemingly sweet woman named Deyanira, has raised me all my life since my father passed away.
Once, my mother was desperate for money long before I was born. She was going to lose her and my father's house if she didn't do something. My mother, not a stupid woman, didn't call for The Dark One. She called upon the Evil Queen to help her. Unfortunately, my mother double-crossed the Queen.
The Queen promised to do something dastardly in due time.
Eventually, her threat faded away into the back of my mother and father's mind. But, the Queen never forgot.
Eventually, a little girl was born to the lovers, and the Evil Queen showed again.
This time, she hadn't come empty handed. She cast a spell upon the little girl. A curse, where the little girl could not feel, she became emotionless.
This is where my story begins, for I, Adira, was that little girl.
