This was a request from Boba4Food! I hope you enjoy this. This is my first Kamisama Hajimemashita Fanfiction! There are very few fanfics for this series so I decided to contribute by starting out with a Tomoe x Reader!
Nanami, Tomoe, and their son had lived a happy life together at the Mikage shrine, along with Mizuki and the little shrine spirits. Nanami was a human Land God, so she eventually passed away, along with Tomoe who was a former yokai that turned human, and their son. They all passed away until one day, you happen to become the new land god of the Mikage shrine. You mess around with a mirror you found…
POOF… out of nowhere, Tomoe appeared. You gasp at the sight of seeing the handsome man. He looks up at you. "Where is Nanami? Where is my son?" he glares at you. "Who are you and what are you doing here?"
"U-um, I am the new Land God of this shrine…" you reply.
"You're lying," he says. "Nanami was and will always be the god of this shrine…"
"But I am the new one-" but you are cut off by Tomoe.
"You're an imposter!" he yells. He takes some rope and ties you in a corner of the room. "You're staying here until I figure out what's going on."
"Tomoe?" you say his name.
"How do you know my name?" he asks with his eyes wide.
"Nanami and your son already passed away…you just somehow revived…" you inform him.
"What? That's not possible…I reincarnated? Where is that snake boy!?" he yells.
"He's out shopping right now. I sealed a familiar's contract with him," you say.
"Are you out of your mind? That stupid snake…" Tomoe scolds you in frustration. His expression suddenly softens. "You aren't any better at this than Nanami was either…"
You suddenly come up with an idea to get Tomoe to become your familiar.
"Tomoe? Can you please let me get out of the rope?" you plead.
"Why must I?" he sneers.
"Pee," you answer as you pretend to become anxious to use the restroom.
Tomoe blushes. "You can go pee right at that spot for all I care."
"You wouldn't do that to me, would you?" you complain as you make cute puppy eyes to persuade him to let you out.
"Fine! I'll let you out!" Tomoe groans, falling for your trap. The moment you get out, you pull him close, kissing him and making the familiar contract.
You smile at him. "From this day on, you're my familiar."
Tomoe blushes at you. "You're no different from Nanami either, are you..? Using your cleverness to trick me like that. Maybe I might like working with you after all…"
