Rita struggled against her captor, whose face she couldn't see. Her hands were bound to the arms of a chair, and her feet to the legs. She tugged at the tape, but had no success in breaking free. She stopped and her eyes widened as the thing showed his-or its-face. It was hideously grotesque, and it hissed as it turned to a cloud of vapor. It rushed into her chest, then made a start for her head. Rita closed her eyes in contempt as it settled into its new home. Suddenly, it was still. The tape broke, freeing her. Rita passed out, and the thing laughed in triumph.
