Seems the only one who doesn't see your beauty
Is the face in the mirror looking back at you
You walk around here thinking you're not pretty
But that's not true, cause I know you...

Harry saw Ginny look in the mirrors and windows as she passed them. He knew it was a sign of low self-esteem. He homself used to look into shiny things like that when he was a first year, and when he was in primary school. But Ginny was beautiful, on the inside and out.

Hold on, baby, you're losing it
The water's high, you're jumping into it
And letting go... and no one knows
You cry, but you don't tell anyone
That you might not be the golden one
And you're tied together with a smile
But you're coming undone

Harry saw how she came down to the common room every night. And how she would cry when she thought no one was looking. How she only broke down when she thought she was alone. How she thought she was week by crying, and she didn't want to show signs of weekness.

I guess it's true that love was all you wanted
Cause you're giving it away like it's extra change
Hoping it will end up in his pocket
But he leaves you out like a penny in the rain
Oh, cause it's not his price to pay
Not his price to pay...

Harry loved her, and he was going to show her that, unlike other guys, who she kept reaching out for, he was going to show her, to get her to believe in herself, and to know that she can be loved by someone other than family.

Hold on, baby, you're losing it
The water's high, you're jumping into it
And letting go... and no one knows
You cry, but you don't tell anyone
That you might not be the golden one
And you're tied together with a smile
But you're coming undone

He saw Ginny enter the common room from her dorm. He watched her cry, and her tears finally stop as the embers died.

You're tied together with a smile
But you're coming undone... oh
Goodbye, baby
Goodbye, baby
With a smile, baby, baby

Harry came down and held her. And rocked her until she was asleep. And stayed there all night.

"Harry." Ginny said quietly the next morning." I wanted to thank you. You know, for comforting me last night." she said shyly, her ankle going up and down on it's side.

"No problem Ginny." he said kneeling down to pick up a flower. He handed it to her. " I like you. Do you want to be my girl friend?" he asked just as shy, giving her a sheepish grin.

"Yeah, Harry I would. It'd be nice." she said taking his hand.

And they walked away, to the lake, to watch the sunrise.

THE END.
