You look like a perfect fit
For a girl in need of a tourniquet
Sara didn't want to let him go. That day he grabbed her hand, she just wanted to hold on, onto him, onto all those things she wished he was offering. To make him understand how much this was what she needed, wanted. But she was damaged goods, messed up, torn up and battered as hell. He could do better, but she was praying he wouldn't.
But can you save me
Come on and save meIf you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
There had been a point, years ago that if you had asked Gilbert Grissom if he was in love with Sara Sidle, he would have denied it. And denied it well. Now, Grissom was well past that point. If you asked him now, all he would be able to do would be to stare at you and then to sigh a you-have-so-much-to-learn sigh and hope that you walked away properly confused. No wonder Greg hadn't bought it.
'Cause I can tell
You know what it's like
The long farewell of the hunger strike
They both had battle scars all the way up their bodies. One for all the terrible things that had inevitably sought them out. They were well beyond the breaking point, and at the moment they were just far too tired to see if they' d fallen yet. So they'd just hold on to tonight, fall into a bed and sleep in each others arms, just for tonight. But can you save meCome on and save me If you could save me From the ranks of the freaksWho suspect they could never love anyone
"Grissom" she called out for him in her weakest hour, pinned down beneath that car. She should save her breathe, soon with the car crushing down on her, Sara knew she wouldn't have much left. But it was Grissom, it was her old dreams of a white knight, of a brilliant scientist who could make room in his life for little old Sara Sidle it was love and redemption of the sweetest kind.
"Grissom"
You struck me dumb like radium
Like Peter Pan or Superman
Superman was a fictional character, Gil knew and besides, Sara sidle was so much better. She was everything he wasn't and so many things he was. Right now, she was out of reach, she would be forever out of reach. Right now laughing with Greg and nick, someday smiling up at her husband or down at her baby girl. Still, he loved her to watch her and savor these minutes when she was smiling up at him.
You will come to save me
C'mon and save me
If you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
'Cept the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
But the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
Sara sidle was a lucky woman, she'd just spent hours of an uncountable portion trapped under car and more of that time walking through a desert but still, he'd come for her, broken as she was. He'd saved her and now she was in his arms again, touching his skin that was for so long off limits. Yes, Sara sidle considered herself one of the luckiest women in the world.
C'mon and save me
Why don't you save me
If you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
Except the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
Except the freaks who could never love anyone
Together they were strong enough to save each other, and apart weak enough to need saving. Everyone thanked heaven that those two had finally found each other. Funny, they were thanking heaven too.
