AN: Inspired by GENIUS 241:Ryoma's Girlfriend. Basically, a girl comes from Hokkaido to spy on the team mostly in the guise as Ryoma's fangirl. She even offers him cookies. xD this was just me thinking what if she affected him more than he wants. and this is uh... RyoSaku and RyoTomo thinking.

Kotoha

It wasn't like he was going to miss her. He just thought that it was kind of nice to have someone like her around sometimes.

Tomo-chan was too loud.

Sakuno-chan was too quiet.

Kotoha had been just right.

It was cute how when she smiled she would tilt her head a bit, and allow her shorter layers to accentuate her features. It was cute how her shoulders curved and allowed some of the longer strands to spill over them. It was cute how she lifted her leg when she hugged him.

He had barely knew her for 2 hours and already it was good bye. With a flick of her wrist and a small and sweet smile, she was gone.

"You're really lucky, Echizen," Eiji had beamed. "Kotoha's really cute."

Echizen shook his head. He knew it wasn't like that at all. He knew she was just a spy sent from Hokkaido to check out to competition. She wasn't his prince. Everything she said was a lie and he was starting to fall for it.

He wanted to taste those cookies she baked.

He began his walk from home, feeling bitter. Finally a girl who understood him, and she had been a spy. It seemed such a waste. That was when he saw Sakuno waiting up ahead for him.

"Ryoma-kun…"

He wanted to continue on and ignore her, but he knew it would be best if he stopped. He compromised, slowing down his gait and allowing the twin braided lass to follow.

"Your form was different today," Sakuno commented.

Ryoma was surprised. Had she been paying so much attention? Ryoma had switched his playing style a bit in lieu of the spies, but he didn't think anyone realized but himself. Inui sent him a few special glances, but that was expected of the data player.

"Hey I'm impressed. You noticed that, huh? Hmm, well, there were so many spies today."

Sakuno wouldn't meet his gaze, and it urked him. It was something he never liked about her. She was too demure while Tomo was too out right… and then his thoughts drifted to that girl.

"One came from as far as Hokkaido."

The words were out of his mouth before he could think and he even surprised himself with that. Since when had he concerned himself with the small details. Since when had he cared about where some girl he didn't even know was from. What if Kotoha wasn't even her real name?

"Aa, you mean…" Sakuno began, and stopped.

He knew what she had been thinking. Her, Tomo, and the others all thought Kotoha was his girlfriend. They were all being ridiculous.

But really, how ridiculous was it? Ryoma began to wonder, began to think… what if?

What if it wasn't just Kotoha? It was just nice in general to have a girl(friend) who directed her smiles only towards you. He had two girls like that already. One of the left, and one of the right. Kotoha was by now many miles away, but she had opened his eyes to something. She opened his mind to a possibility.

Sakuno was quiet.

Tomo was loud.

He could accept that.
