Sum: Dart is traveling again, with Shana of course. They come across a small village that King Albert doesn't know about… they find a woman playing with the kids in the small orphanage in the center of the city…who is it? Read and find out
Prologue
"Shana…please can we just move on, there's nothing here!" Dart exclaimed as Shana went off the beaten path into the trees of the forest. She continued to run through the deep trees and Dart followed her. "Where are you going Shana?"
"I can hear voices Dart…" Shana then came across a small beaten path and began to follow it and Dart followed her until they came across an entrance to a small village. From the indicated entrance, Dart and Shana could see a small one story building. Out in front of the building were little kids playing tag and running around laughing.
"Whoa… I never knew this place was here…" Dart whispered as he saw the door to the front of the building open. He gasped as he saw raven hair blow in the wind. The woman who had walked out turned and he saw Shana cover her mouth.
"Rose?" Shana whispered before the woman turned to face them. She had a scar over her left eye that started at the edge of her forehead and ended at the bottom of her face. Dart took a step forward before the woman turned away, there was a little girl who instantly attached herself to the woman. She was a little blond girl, and her face was covered in dirt.
"Calli… what did you do this time?" The girl smiled sheepishly as she looked up at the woman. "You're dirty, and we have an important meeting with a family today…" The girl frowned and clung to the woman tighter. The woman then smiled and noticed Dart and Shana for the first time as the men and women of the small village went about their business. "Can I help you two?" She said with no sign of recognition in her violet eyes.
"….." Dart was speechless, she was right there; the woman that he and Shana had known for a short time, but had saved their lives and the world many times. But this woman was kinder, and she was wearing clothes that the Rose he knew would never wear, and she was smiling. She had forgotten everything and had a new life here, a pleasant one, he and Shana would not ruin that for her, Rose of all people deserved a peaceful life.
"Dart, I think we should introduce ourselves." Shana giggled as Dart blinked back into reality. "Hi, my name is Shana, and this is Dart, we just heard voices and followed them to this small village, we had no idea that anyone would live this far away from civilization." Shana said and the woman picked up the silent girl who continued to cling to her.
"Not many know that we are here, the only real stable thing in our village is the orphanage, it is our only income." The woman explained as she walked closer to Dart and Shana. "By the way, my name is Rose." She smiled and held out her hand, which Shana took and shook gently. "I run the orphanage."
"You know that you resemble an international hero, do you not?" Dart asked and Shana elbowed him. "Ow, what did you do that for?" Rose laughed and Dart cast a surprised look at her. "Well, we're sorry for bothering you…"
"Hey, it looks like you two have been traveling a long while, why don't you come and rest for a few days, I'm sure I can find two extra beds." Rose offered and Shana hurriedly agreed and followed Rose into the house with Dart following uncertainly.
