There are three things Shiraishi loves about those eyes
First, how sparkling they are when they meet alone at the helipad. Those eyes would sparkle a little bit here and there, shining like a pair of christmas light, reflecting the sunset that is right behind the helicopter itself. And they would glance at her while they are saying very few words to each other, reflecting light from somewhere the way that force her to turn and look properly at him.
Second, when she sees them first thing in the morning, especially in the rare ones after a non-night shift night. How those eyes slowly flutter opened like they were veils gently being rolled up to see the sun outside the windows. The dark brown, almost black pupil look straight into hers. They would lock on her eyes first, then her nose, her lips, and they close and open and start everything over again like they were some child trying to learn how to walk.
And last, when those eyes look at her with so much emotion before the kiss. They don't pierce through her like how they normally do to other people, especially people in the hospital where they both work at. They don't even try to demand anything from her. They just seem to just watch her softly, just seem to tell her everything's gonna be fine. Then they will start to narrow down as well as hers, she loves that part too. A second after that, the eyelashes would brush her skin lightly making her heart jumps, her stomach filled with thousand hundreds of the smallest kind of butterflies ever.
Shiraishi thinks they are so mysterious to others, since her friends have often commented on their lack of emotions, little do those people know about how great these eyes were. It's a shame, but then again, she can't really let others know about them. She's never selfish. She would always put others before her any time. But only this she needs to keep for herself.
What she doesn't really realise is that those eyes are solely for her anyway.
