His house was gloomy, as always.

But the day was bright, dressed in shades of blue, yellow, green and gold.

In the tiny garden, weeds hustled.

Daphne stood on the doorstep, still, stated, calm, before she opened the door.

She never bothered to knock.

Severus sat on the couch. Dressed in black and scars.

On his face and neck.

"What now?" he said, didn't look at her. "Mr Malfoy. Again?"

"I love him."

"I know."

"But he loves Astoria."

"Childish problems."

Daphne sat down beside him. Both stared out in space.

Sickly pale, miserable.

"I can only help you with one thing…" Daphne eventually said. Toneless.

"We help each other in the same way."

Her nails dug into his thigh. "And it feels right to you?"

"I don't want your hands, there…" He grabbed her hands, stroke her palm. "I don't know what's right or wrong anymore, you know that."

They started to undress.
