Goujun-centric Possible filler for PI T-chan
One thing that Goujun had never spread around, was that he had a family. It seemed strange here, in Tenkai, where very few 'real' families existed and there were no 'real' clans. So, he kept it quiet and continued with his work.
His first wife had never been very healthy, and she soon passed on after hatching her first egg. Goujun was not there at the time and he only got word of it when a messenger, one of his kin, came up to Tenkai and informed him that his First wife had died and his immediate family had no where to put the child. Goujun, reeling in shock and confusion, had agreed to take care of the child until certain arrangements were made.
He came in, a healthy white male, still in dragon form, unsure how to proceed. He didn't know who Goujun was, was missing his mother, (A bit) and was hungry. And he didn't like this place, it felt funny, with floors that weren't rock nor grass nor earth. The sun was abnormally bright and he just didn't like it. And the one standing in front of him seemed familiar, he didn't look like his cousins or mother, he was standing on two legs and he had no tail. He was getting more and more scared in this strange place.
"Hatchling" Started Goujun, kneeling down to his eye-level after sending his cousin away. "One of the first things you need to learn, is how to transform. You cannot go around this unfriendly place in that form. You are a bit young for this, but try." The small bundle on the floor just stared at him, until Goujun closed his eyes and transformed into his dragon shape, thanking his foresight to knock down the walls before he moved in as commander. It was a bit of a squeeze, but he did it.
And so, little by little, the small dragon started to learn and Goujun's hatchling changed into a small child, half his height, with small undeveloped stubs barely seen above the mass of his hair. Goujun smiled his acceptance and set about taming his wild mop of hair. As with any child, he didn't like it. All the pulling and tugging to get hair to lie flat. And soon, he was mewling for the 'torture' to stop. Preoccupied, he didn't notice the white figure until se stopped to lean on the doorframe.
"Who's the kid?" Came that voice. Goujun didn't turn.
"My son, he will be staying with me for a while" The child turned his head, wondering at the curious figure standing in his father's office. The person scared him. It didn't smell like a dragon. And it smelled weird, all perfumy and just strange.
Kanzeon came further into the room, stretching out hir hand to touch him. The child, confused, and certainly not wanting the thing to come nearer, bared his teeth and growled. However, the effect he was trying to achieve just made the thing collapse into giggles.
"Oh my, you are a cute one."
Thankfully, for the kid, Kanzeon left after talking with Goujun. He was dressed in one of Goujun's old uniforms and sent him to a corner of the room to sleep, with blankets aplenty. But in the night, when a small kid-shaped dragon came mewling up to his corner of the room, missing the company of the other dragons he was used to, Goujun, too tired to ask why, just draped a wing over him and continued sleeping.
The kid woke up, a bit more talkative a bit more daring, but he left his father alone, understanding at a young age that Goujun had work to do. So he explored Tenkai, wondered at the flowers that another child a few centuries later would also wonder at. And on his third day at Tenkai, he was caught stealing carp from Kanzeon's lily pond.
A horrified Goujun was called up from drilling practice, to see his son knee deep in the pond, struggling to hold a huge splashing carp. Upon Goujun's arrival, he brightened up and just said his first few words to him, "Look, father, I caught it all by myself!"
