Unlike the rest of my writing, shock horror, this fic is TOTALLY INNOCENT – I had such a hard time writing it.
Apparition
Destination, Determination, Deliberation
Step one: Destination, Ron focused on where he wanted to go – No Ron! You should have gone to the bathroom before hand.
Step two: Determination. He was determined to past this test. If he didn't he would be the only Weasley except Charlie to have to take the test more than once. If he failed, Fred and George would never let him forget it – they only didn't tease Charlie to his face because he was older and – "No Ron! Hermione's voice sounded in his head, Determination to reach the Destination.
Step three: Deliberation. He turned on the spot trying to empty his mind of everything except Determination, Destination and Deliberation. He thought he was there, he better apparate quickly before he forgot anything.
Professor Twycross' voice suddenly came into his mind, "splinching occurs when the mind is insufficiently determined." Oh, he was very determined.
Hermione's voice spoke again, "move without haste but deliberation." He remembered that dreadful afternoon in the library reading horror about apparition attempts gone badly wrong.
The examiner's voice cut across his thoughts "One, two three!" There was a crack as Ron apparated. The examiner appeared in front of him a smile on his face. The smile suddenly disappeared. The examiner was talking but Ron wasn't listening – he had failed! Guess what – Hermione had passed.
There'll be no living will her after this he thought as the examiner reattached his half an eyebrow.
A bit short and pointless, I know, but I needed to prove to myself that I could write a K rated fic.
