Akko woke up with tired eyes.She tried rubbing the tiredness away before accidentally poking herself in the eye—oh how prone she is to danger.
She proceeded to wash her face and brush her teeth when she suddenly remembered;Diana was not in bed.She let out an exasperated sigh and thought of scolding her girlfriend later—it was Diana's day off,she had to come home eventually.
Akko then walked across the hallway to check Diana's small office—to her surprise—to see the blonde slumped over the desk.She walked up behind her and scanned the desk.
Nothing caught her eye in particular but she had concluded that Diana often worked too hard.
Being the thoughtful girlfriend she was,she took a blanket and put over the blonde before running to the kitchen to make some breakfast.
The first step was to decide what to make.Already,she felt blank.
Though they had been living with each other for months now,she still had no idea what Diana usually had for breakfast.
The blonde often left for work much earlier than Akko.Either that or Akko never gave much attention which she could blamed for because let's be honest here;there are much more pressing matters to think of.
Akko decided to go with sweet and savoury.She had initially planned on making an English breakfast but finally decided on making Japanese pancake with a side of hash browns,a few slices of ham,and tomatoes.
The brunette put her hair in a ponytail,cheered herself on and then prepared the ingredients.
She hummed as she started to cook the pancakes.She took a heart-shaped mold and put it in the centre of the pan before pouring some of the fluffy batter in the mold.She covered the pan and let it cook until it was golden on one side.She repeated the process until the batter was gone.
Next,she cooked the ham and then the thinly sliced potatoes in the same pan to absorb some flavour.
Once all the cooking was done,she prepped the plates.Two pancakes on each plate,neatly folded slices of ham,an equal amount of scrambled hash browns and a healthy amount of tomatoes to balance it out.
She placed the food on their bar and put out a bottle of syrup.She facepalmed softly before remembering to make drinks.
She took two teabags and put one in each mug.Poured the hot water and placed it next to each plate.
Akko looked at her result proudly and went to wake the blonde up.Said blonde walked in and yawned softly before looking the at the bar of food.
"Akko...did you make all this?,"she asked as she walked closer to the brunette.
"Yeah...I hope you don't mind eating whatever I cooked,"Akko said nervously and scratched the back of her neck.
"I'm starving actually,"she paused to kiss Akko on the cheek."Thank you."
Akko blushed and muttered,"No problem."
The brunette pulled a stool out for Diana before taking her own seat.
Diana look amazed at the presentation before looking to Akko.The brunette understood.
"Itadakimasu",they both said before slowly clearing their plate.
"It's delicious,Akko,"Diana said after she had finished.
"Really?It's my first time making hash browns,"Akko shrugged.
"Well,it's not raw and it certainly holds a bit of flavour."
"Oh,are going all Ramsay on me,Diana?,"Akko teased.
"Hmph,I will be even more merciless,"Diana said,sounding serious but had a teasing smirk on her face.
They both laughed and cleaned up after themselves.
The rest of the day was spent cuddling and relaxing.
