Summary: Danny is stuck in a bind. Details inside. D/L

Going Once, Going Twice Sold!

Danny always hated being put into these situations. Sure this is for a good cause, but really! It was that time of the year when all the heads of the New York Police Department got together and thought it was time to do a charity function. But this year, Danny had no clue what the event was and who would be there.

He hailed a cab to the Ritz Carlton and when he got into the lobby, he finally found out what the event was: A date auction! And to think all the beautiful women that would be there. The night was getting better and better.

Lindsay was waiting in the lobby to go in when she spotted Danny. "Hey Danny, you clean up nice." She said, remembering that he said the same to her before. Danny smirked at her and walked over to her."Lindsay, you got the eye candy look going with ya tonight," he smiled. "And you will have no problems landing a man tonight."

"That's really not important tonight, the money from the auction will go to the childrens hospital. That's what really matters." "But you gotta have some fun." Danny said, smiling. "Come on, let's go."

The backstage was abuzz with the excitement of the auction. People were checking their wardrobes, the soundmen were testing their equipment trying to make sure everything was perfect. It was going to be a exciting night!

Lindsay and Danny were walking side by side thru the passageway when Danny noticed that Lindsay somehow got lost. Maybe she got turned around. She'll catch up with me. Damn! Where was she?

Lindsay was walking along side Danny when she caught sight of Stella watching the set up from a viewing area to the side of the passageway. "Stella, are you ready for tonight?", Lindsay said to the tall brunette. Stella turned to Lindsay and laughed, "Oh yes! I love these events, I especially went to see what the bid will be for Mac, I love to see him flustered."

"Hey, I forgot something in the lobby and I'll be right back." Lindsay said calling out to her. Instead of going out to the lobby, Lindsay headed for the seating area in front of the stage. She grabbed a auction paddle from the man at the door and took a seat 5 rows back from the front of the stage.
