DISCLAIMER: *Judge Judy theme song* Your honor, I don't, and never will, own the characters in this story. *Camera does the close up, face shot thing* Audience: Ohhh! *one faint: Oh no!* You get the point!

"Shoulda married him, shoulda got him." The daily mutterings of Elizabeth McGuire were soft and incoherent. Every nurse and doctor in the institution knew that she was babbling about David Gordon, a famous, elderly, wealthy film director. He was the Spielberg of his age. Everyday, she talked about him and how she should have married him, and everyday, she was assured that she had never met Mr. Gordon, and had certainly not come relatively close to marrying him. She was constantly reminded that Mr. Gordon had a wife named Miranda. According to Elizabeth, whom they called Mama McGuire, she was best friends with Mrs. Gordon and often told childhood tales about them, whom she referred to as the "Terrific Trio". She added in another, imaginary character named Kate. They assured her none of this was true and she was only Mama McGuire. They called her this due to her desire to become a mother, a dream that had never been fulfilled. She had been admitted to the institution after being found wandering the streets of San Francisco. At the time, she was seventy-two. She told the doctors about her family and friends. It was later found that all of the characters were either imaginary or some type of celebrity. All they knew was her name and age. For the first three months of her stay, they humored her ad accepted her crazy stories. But after that, she was diagnosed and the staff was told that positive reinforcement wouldn't work. Seven years later, she still resides here. Every attempt possible has been made to contact family and friends, but close to eight years have passed, and no leads were found. Everyone in their right mind at the institution pitied her. She showed no signs of improvement, and certainly nothing close to being released. There was almost no chance of that. Though her state was going constantly down hill, she was still loving and caring. And everyone loved her back.

Mama McGuire died last night. Our staff pooled for a funeral and obituary spot, so if she did have family, at least they would know. Now I am leaning against the back wall at her funeral. And I am the last and only link to her past. I, Lawrence Tudgeman holds the key to Elizabeth "Mama" McGuire's past. Maybe, when I get home, I'll give David and Miranda Gordon a call.

A/N: So what did you think? I picked Larry because he is not completely obscure, but he really isn't a main character. Should I change it to be Ronny? Tell me what you think in your REVIEW. TAT!
