A.N. That is partly AU. And partly my headcannon, until the further plot reveal from OW team.

OFC I do not own Overwatch.

This mission had been a success. Even if Overwatch had not been legally authorized to interfere into the Uprising, the efficiency of organization's actions was an undeniable proof of their capability. In a few hours four-man squad managed to restore the order in King's Row – something British government had not been able to achieve for nearly a month. With Omnic extremists scattered and hostages – freed, the worst part of riot was finally over. And even the most devoted critics of Overwatch would have a little choice but begrudgingly praise agents for their well done work.

Still, some part of this story was hidden from the eyes of public. Namely, who had saved the hostages from Null Sector. Officially the squad managed to reach them during the capture of power plant. Half-truth, because that was Blackwatch agent who managed to reach hostages before crazed machines decided to slaughter them in retaliation...

'Vacationing' agents rarely can claim credit for the job they are not supposed to do. Especially if they are officially suspended, like Blackwatch was during this operation, so no shiny medals. That does not mean mean the agent in question always comes out in one piece though (or comes back at all). Ten bots were actually too much to be taken out in a blink of eye. So Jesse McCree had to improvise. Small luck and a great show of skill with the gun did the trick. Mostly - he still took a blow from one of these bombers, even if he managed to roll his way out from the worst part of explosion.

At least that was just a limb and not a… Never mind.

Besides, his mission was not over until he'd get back to the HQ – discreetly. So he had to sneak his way out through numerous broken bots, not without taking
a dose of painkillers beforehands. It was doubtful audience had recognized him (or could have a good look at him - not from their position), so his part in this act had been done with flying colors.

'Or maybe not… I even managed to lose my gun along with that arm…'

When he had finally managed to reach other assets who were ready to pick him abroad the transport he blissfully slipped to oblivion. Last thoughts before the well-deserved nap?

'Looks like the victory whiskey will have to wait a bit… Oh well… There's always high noon somewhere in the world...'

A.N. Hello there. Uprising event inspired me to make a little story featuring its outcome. I think there will be some more chapters. Sorry for writing so little, that is my first try to write up something. Feel free to critique).
